Obama already took us back to the Pre-Constitution age when the God-King executes the citizens without charges or trial. POS Dems don't give a **** about that. Obama 2012...
I believe that he seriously has a god complex. He thinks that he's allowed to do whatever he wants. Kudos to the Republicans for bringing him back down to earth. And hopefully the SCOTUS pimp-slaps his a$$ on his "landmark healthcare reform". *snort*
Hightop, you should write a strongly worded letter to Obama and let him know your feelings. I'm sure if you did he would turn this ship around. But you gotta let him know, communication is key!
LOL, they are incapable (I see via the quotes at least) of making a reply that is not changing the subject to Obama. It's like a disease. None of them are willing to deny that their party wants to return to the "Gilded Age," or even "feral bands of mud people."
I think, with all this attention paid to the so-called "topic" of the thread, that we are missing the two most important points. 1. BARACK HUSSINES OBAMAS HE IS SOCILISTS!!!!! 2. Batman Jones writes musicals people!....BATMAN HUSSIENS JONES WRITES THE MUSICALS[/1111] (that means gay)
If Obama goes out and declares himself the God-Emperor of Mankind, I think I would go ahead and vote for him.
Generally, the folks doing, say, the 6pm news on free TV stations or widely distributed papers, say, greater than a millions readers. This isn't exact science stuff but organizations that most reasonable people would describe as catering to a wide audience. NBC nightly news, for example. 60 minutes. MSNBC or Fox, no. I'm not talking about parent companies or conglomerates. Fox News and Fox Sports southwest is the same conglomerate but have very different news styles as they cater to different audiences. I disagree with the premise that conglomerates is where it's at. Each show has its own production folks and cater to different audiences. The author of the article IS proposing a way to change it. That's the topic of the thread. We're discussing the merits of that.
I think they should just get rid of the filibuster. The original point of it was to let everyone have their say (unlimited debate). Once they started using it for obstruction, it should have been scrapped.
I could support this. I think it's been abused, in the eyes of most voters, for the last 30 years or so.
I don't know about you guys, but I worship Obama and believe him to be our heavenly father. If he wishes to execute me with his almighty powers then I submit to him!
more evidence -- Are Republicans to blame for Washington’s problems? Top Line Scholar Norman Ornstein is pointing fingers in a new book, "It's Even Worse Than It Looks," co-authored with Thomas Mann. Congress is partisan and polarizing, and one party, said Ornstein, bears the brunt of the blame. "I wouldn't say it's all Republicans," said Ornstein, "it's 80-20 at this point." "When you look at the data, including voting records ... the Democrats have moved left, to probably their own 25 yard line. President Obama's probably around the 40," said the American Enterprise Institute scholar. "The Republicans have moved behind their own goal post." Check out this week's Top Line to hear Ornstein break down recent history and the gridlock in Washington. <div><iframe frameborder="0" width="576" height="324" src="http://d.yimg.com/nl/ynews/powerplayers/player.html#browseCarouselUI=show&vid=29428281"></iframe></div>
