What about Lowry and Scola for Josh Smith and Teague? Don't know about the salaries but I would LOVE Smith on the Rockets...
Hawks are not gonna do that trade unless we put in more or take their bad contract (Marvin williams, Joe Johnson)
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6uowbeh Minnesota: Receives Kevin Martin Trades Pekovic and Wesley Johnson Houston: trades Martin receives Pekovic Cleveland: receives Ed Davis, 2nd rounder from one of the three teams. Toronto: receives Wesley Johnson sends Ed Davis Minnesota dumps a bad fit (johnson) for a guard who fits in their system. While they give up Pekovic, they have Darko, and the Rockets could send the Knicks pick or their own pick to sweeten the deal. Rockets dump Martin and receive a young center. Cleveland takes a flier on a young big man. Toronto clears up room in the crowded front court and gets a young guard to take a flier on.
I would take Joe Johnson, but I don't think the Hawks would give up him and Smith for Scola, Lowry, AND Martin. I don't really care about Teague, I just figured him as a throw in but maybe the Hawks value him a lot more... They might do a move like this though, Josh Smith has reportedly wanted out, and he unlike other players would welcome a move to Houston. I would gladly take on Marvin Williams if that had to happen. Either way, I really want Josh Smith on the Rockets.
Here's another one: http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7g5o34b This time, not only do the Wolves get a shooting guard, they get a replacement for Pekovic in Aldrich. Thunder get a backup point guard and veteran (both fish and Ivey have expiring contracts). The other guys are for salary purposes, but they might not be needed with expirings coming off the books. Plus Jackson's contract is very light, and Ellington's is short.
I need help from BimaThug on this one. I tried looking it up, but couldn't find much info. This summer, if the Thunder don't win a championship, they should probably look for a low post player. Would it be possible to extend and trade James Harden, for Luis Scola and a sign and trade for Courtney Lee? I know, the salaries don't match right away, but let's say Courtney Lee signs for MLE ($5 mil). Luis Scola's salary would be $9,408,207 (I'm assuming you use their next years salary since this season is officially over). Together, that would be roughly $14.5 million. If James Harden signs, for example, a 5 year $60 million contract, could his contract be front loaded to start at $16 million? Therefore, his salary by year would be $16, $14, $12, $10, and $8 mil in year 5. Would this be possible? Also, I know people are gonna say, why trade for Scola if they have Ibaka? Scola could back up Ibaka, and play down the stretch while sitting Perkins or Ibaka. The Thunder need someone to play in the low post, and right now, Ibaka isn't that guy.
I believe James Harden has another year before OKC has to worry about re-signing him / how to keep him.
Houston trades (to Milwaukee): Kyle Lowry Samuel Dalembert 14th overall pick or 16th overall pick Milwaukee trades: Monta Ellis 12th overall pick
Trade - K.Lowry, Mavs pick to Okc for J.Harden - K.Martin to Twolves for N.Pekovic Sign - G.Dragic - E.Ilyasova - I.Smith Draft - M.Leonard - Houston pick - T.Ross - Nyk pick Trade Assets - P.Patterson - S.Dalembert - L.Scola - C.Budinger c- N.Pekovic / M.Leonard / S.Dalembert pf- E.Ilyasova / D.Motiejunas / L.Scola sf- C.Parsons / M.Morris sg- J.Harden / T.Ross / C.Budinger pg- G.Dragic / I.Smith
Lowry and scola for brook lopez Morris and a pick for tyreke evans K.Martin for al jefferson Resign dragic, bring over Do-Nuts. Lopez and jefferson man 4/5 spot with do nuts and patterson filling in. Dragic and evans in backcourt with parsons at 3 spot. I know a lot on this board don't like evans, but I like his talent and early production, but needs to be coached up better. I think guys like him think they have to be the franchise and do everything vs fitting in. His ealy statistical success unfairly elevated him,but his talent is there. If james harden had to come in and be the man early in his career, I don't think his game would've progressed as well either. My trades are about a couple of ideas. I don't think the rockets wll tank enough to ge a high lotto pick and the guys where they are drafting aren't going to turn into the franchise changing players. Getting jefferson, lopez, and evans gives the team young, boderline all star players with talent and upside. I doubt they could get jefferson with just martin, but its a start. If hump and williams leave, they might value having 2 quality players at a psition of need over lopez. Evans is the one though. Maybe kings have seen enough and with the infusion of a similar player (williams) they might be ready to move on from him. Dragic-evans-parson-jefferson-lopez would be a really good team in the mold of the grizzlies. The grizzlies have 3 all star caliber player and other good depth player with mayo, allen, speight(cuz of arthur injury) and even agent 0 back in the mix. Jmo, but that's what I would try to do.
To get back to the playoffs, I say make a play for an elite center in free agency being either Roy Hibbert or Brook Lopez & all-star PF like Chris Bosh! It'll probably take a sign & trade to acquire either center seeing that their both RFA's but I'd offer the max for either & make their respective teams match like 4yrs 56mil along the lines of what M. Gasol got. I'd rather go after Hibbert due to Lopez's injury issues this past season. Roy Hibbert for Martin, Morris, #16(possibly Meyers Leonard) Chris Bosh for Patterson, Scola, Dalembert, Dal 1st - if they fail to win the championship free up cap space http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=7hrgwzh Re-sign Lee, Camby Bring over Motiejunas Draft Austin Rivers #14 to play SG/PG Lowry, Rivers Lee, Rivers Parsons, Budinger Bosh, Motiejunas Hibbert, Camby A full off-season in training camp with Coach McHale will get this team back to the playoffs. With size up front & the team more athletic all around, along with a solid rotation we would instantly be contenders in the West.
Gotta move in on Tyreke Evans and Derrick Williams. Both are young, available and have all star potential. We have good trade relations with both. Patterson might of be interest to Kings to play alongside Cousins. While Martin is of definite interest to the Wolves. To use Lowry, Martin, Morris, Scola, Dalemebert would be ideal. But we would probably need to include picks as well. As long as we dont include Parsons Im all for it. Dragic, Evans, Williams, Parsons is a pretty solid platform to build around. Camby can be resigned too. Then we can look to add the rest through FA and coming years.
Both have potentials but I'd have enough of those PG-SG and SF-PF tweeners.... In history there are not a lot of those tweeners that turned superstar in recent years I'd rather not include the Center/PFs
i dont think the heat will ever trade bosh.. gasol is attainable but i dont think he will solve any problems for the rockets i want al jefferson. the jazz are stacked with bigs, but i dont see them trading any to houston
