I called it. The lakers will take the west. If you don't base your defense around kobe, bymum will step up now, and if u base is around bynum, kobe will do kobe.

    Kobe beats lebron.

1 game against the pathetic Knicks and 1 game against the overrated Nuggets and you're already saying you called it when there is a long way to go.

Even if the matchup happened it would be more like Wade vs. Kobe

I laugh when people think the league is rigged. If it was, it wouldn't take this many years for Kobe vs LeBron to happen in the Finals. It's still not a sure thing either.

I'm surprised how lakers are doing without Artest. But we're way to early to guess they are going to the finals. Lebron guess looks better now with rose down... but not so sure lakers are going to the finals.

I'd be surprised if the lakers win the next round. Grizzlies win it all

**** those two players. I'd rather let Dallas win again.

Well if it were rigged that would be the case. Why would they rig games just to rig them? They rig games because they are tied with Vegas. Everyone bets on Kobe and Lebron being in the finals so they lose. Which would you prefer as a business? Several millions in advertising revenue or several millions in advertising revenue plus free advertising on major news networks? No one is going to give Super Bowl advertising prices for one nba game. They make more money with contracts that include year round advertising and playoff slots.

I just want it to happen already to see if it lives up to the hype before Kobe is in a wheelchair. I think the lakers beat the spurs because lakers fans are only interested in a winning product.

If I had to bet my life on it I would bet this league is rigged.

People bet on Jordan everytime he was there. Didn't stop him from winning.

Lebron is a probable top 10 player of all time. Hope people take time to appreciate his game.

The internet has opened up a new market for gambling, especially sports gambling. People have the ability to bet on each quarter while watching the box score. My point is the market is geared more towards volume transactions because so many do it.

If the bookees can get enough suckers to bet on the heat not being able to cover a 14 point spread then they will make money if they do. Not enough people would gamble on Miami winning just to make $100 for every $1200 they put down.

Did you not see what the spurs did to the Lakers in the last 2 weeks of the season? Did you not see it took the Lakers an 18 point come back and double Ot to be the thunder at home after being routed by okc earlier in the year? Memphis has a better chance than LA.

I agree on miami though, they should waltz to the finals.

Spurs are definitely going to win it all. They are just too good. I hope Rockets are going to be contender soon as next year.

Watching this hawks game made me think of their fans and their team. Many of them think they have a shot but the truth is they are lucky if they make it to the east finals.

It's sad that I thought the rockets had a shot of advancing in the playoffs. I don't see them beating anyone next year either.

I always felt we can compare our team to Atlanta, only on the fact that neither are really getting anywhere. We have been in the same situation the last 3 years: 14th pick. For the past 6 years or so, Atlanta has always been 1st or 2nd round exit. No one ever takes them seriously to win the East.

The only difference is that they have had legitimate all stars, while we have had none since Yao's retirement :(
