look up comfortis. it's a pill and 500 times more effective than advantage. i had a flea problem last year. gave my lab confortis and within 2 days, the fleas were dead.

i've read there can be side effects tho, but my dog hasn't experienced any of them.

I haven't found exterminators to be effective unfortunately. Also, for a flea infestation in the house, I've heard very good things about diatomaceous earth.

Buy some spiders and/or frogs. Problem solved. But then you'll have a spider and frog problem.

I just used Raid during my roach problem. Btw, guys, yeah, there was a small mouse that was responsible for the roaches being torn apart. It's still here. I found it on my bed a few days ago.

I'm afraid this info doesn't bare the same weight unless you post it in the original thread!

I've seen a documentary about how this guy was able to solve his insect problem

I think it was a documentary.

    I'm pretty sure it was.

    Yes, it was.

Is all or a large area of your residence carpeted? If so, get a box of borax that you find in the laundry section of any store. Sprinkle it in the carpet, especially around baseboards, cracks, crevices and areas that are dark and then brush over the carpet with a broom to work the powder into the carpet. After two weeks vacuum and then reapply for another two weeks. Should relieve your house of fleas and pretty much any other insects.

Get a good flea/tick treatment for your pet to keep the problem from coming back.

If you want to see how bad your flea problem is, plug in a nightlight and place a bowl of soapy water under it at night. Wake up and see how many you have.

in case the vet forgets to tell you (unlikely but you never know), you have to give it to him with food.

Well, I see you're looking for an exterminator but here is what worked for me in a former house if you decided to DIY.

In the kitchen and bathrooms (2 most likely places for roaches due to food and/or water). Clear everything out of your cabinets. Check your pipes for any leaks. If there are leaks, fix those as roaches can live weeks without food but only a few days without water. Once you are assured there are no leaks, cover the cabinets and all cracks, crevices, etc with a layer of borax. Place this around and under the stove, refrigerator, etc. Let this set for a day. Next, buy Raid Max spray and spray it generously in all areas including those outside where roaches can enter. I did this and I did not have any roaches for the last year I lived in that house.

If successful start putting food up. Put produce in the refrigerator, make sure chips, bread, etc are all sealed in air tight containers. Wash dirty dishes immediately.
