define better..... For all what is worth.... Dallas without Cuban is just another team... Sometimes it is just a setting which works New York is mediocre even with stars, Lakers good but not great without PhilJax
Goes to show that the people who hang out here the most (who voted the quickest) are the loud minority, whereas the silent majority are voting overwhelming for Morey.
morey sucked at whatever he did in boston, and he probably is tranlating whatever he did on that team ( employee # 8 antoine walker era) to this team. (sucking)
Suckage is evident. Superstar ability? Not seen in Morey yet. If he is hiding it or waiting to dazzle us? By all means stop holding back or letting uncle Les steal your thunder anymore. I am sure you can do it. Sort of. maybe.
morey needs to trade kmart for higher draft spot, pick up drummond and lamb as backup to C lee. the biggest thing PLAY YOUR ROOKIES
I've said since the start of last season that Morey has 'failed to get it done'. He is not filling the Toyota Center. But then again he has this on his resume
Look around the league and tell me how hard it is to draft or trade for a guy who can make the all star game once. No matter where u draft, you should be able to draft or trade for a guy who can make the all star game. He's been here since basically 06 and he hasn't done either. Lookup and jefferson, crazy howard, parker, manu, granger, hibbert, and all these lower 1st/2nd rd picks have made all star games. Arenas, mike redd, steve nash, mark gasol have made it also. If he's such a great drat guy,how come in 6 yrs the roster hasn't produced 1 asg guy he aquired?
Is getting a guy who make an Allstar appearance even a relevant goal? It is, by and large, a popularity contest-- even the "coaches voting" are probably often made by teams' PR staff. Sam Cassell wasn't an Allstar until his mid-30s, it doesn't mean he wasn't any good until then. Moreover, there are teams that have Allstars (current or past) which are really not well managed. Charlotte had Gerald Wallace as an Allstar in 20010. Doesn't mean that's a well-managed team. The Nets have Deron Williams and Gerald Wallace, but gave up a ton for them and might lost them both to free agency. As for firing him: Who do you hire in his place that's proven to be better?
How many gms who took over a team with 2 All star starters already in place managed to draft or trade for ANOTHER all star while the other 2 were still on the roster?
CH, having a guy making asg says something about his talent. Now I do think some of the fan voting is fraud, but coaches and gms select reserves right? When that process happens, doesn't that say something about the percieved talent on your team? I'm not saying that's the only gauge of talent in the nba, but it gives a clue about talent. Tony parker and bynum could've gotten kidd in his prime. 2 time all star francis got mcgrady in his prime.ray allen got the 5th pick, jamison got the 5th pick. Odom and butler got shaq. There isn't a young guy on this roster who can bring back a all star in his prime. All of these players are morey players. These are his guys and around the league, none are good enough to bring back all star level players.
Dallas drafted josh howard late in the 1st in 03. Pnoenix had nash, asg, drafted amare, marion, and traded for johnson.
Totally agree. However the question at hand is a moot one because Morey won't be fired. After all, it's not his fault and he can do no wrong because with Morey, there will ALWAYS be mitigating factors (read excuses) for his inability to produce results. It's been that way for 6 years now and I see no indication that this situation will change anytime soon.
