If the kid wants to play, he'll have to earn the time. He's a first round pick who was beaten out by a second rounder. I don't think it's fair that he has to play as a 3 on this team but that's what he was asked to do. And he wasn't good enough to beat Parsons or Bud. So, we'll see how he progresses next year. Hopefully we get some value out of Marcus Morris.
Fact, the writer of this article has no idea what went on behind the scenes. Fiction, a high draft pick needs consistent playing time to mature and wow coaches. The guy has it all backwards here. If Morris is who he says he is, it'll come through eventually. Until then, he needs to shut up and earn his spot on this team.
lol. He is mad a white boy from the second round got his potential spot in the rotation. Still I do not understand why we let our most athletic players sit and rot.
Well Morris explodes higher than Millsap... so for you to say that he's miles better athletically than Morris is wrong... If you watched any of his D-League games you'd see that he was throwing down alley-oops and fast-break tomohawks almost every game..
tired of hearing "he needs to earn his playing time". meanwhile we trade "assets" that could potentially produce for other teams that was rotting on our bench before. sick of hearing his earn his playing time bs.
rocket had quality rotting on the bench in the past that got opportunities elsewhere (novak). sick of hearing this crap every season.
Getting like two minutes a game? Suns were in a playoff race too. They played Markieff, thought to be the lesser of the two and still did better than we did.
Sadly this will be enough for Morey to adopt the win now approach next year as well. I hate Morey. Tank already.
There's no reason to tank with the roster we have now. Morey's approach couldn't be more obvious. Acquire a superstar. He tried to do so with Carmelo, Amare, Deron Williams, Dwight Howard, Bosh, and Pau Gasol. Granted, it hasn't happened yet, but I'm sure he's confident he can pull off a blockbuster deal eventually with the assets he's bringing in. I can assure you he traded Jordan Hill to the Lakers for that 1st with full intent on using it as a sweetener in a deal. Besides, our roster is far too talented to compete with Charlotte, Washington, and New Orleans in hopes for a high draft pick. What do you recommend we do with Lowry, Dragic, Camby, Parsons, Scola, and Lee? Not play them? Don't you tank to get solid players like these?
