How does Yao pay tribute to the Rockets?
How does a blade of grass thank the sun?

A single blade of grass may thank the sun by receiving its light without question, and giving its green life to the earth without reservation.

    That was poetic bro.

I miss him from his healthy days.

I dont miss the perpetual injury years where all hope became anguish.

Sure I miss Yao. I miss watching him in street clothes from the bench... Not really. That leaky ship has sailed LONG AGO. Why would I want to sit through another 5 years of watching a franchise player sitting on the bench?

I admired and respected Yao but I honestly do not miss him. When he came in to the league with the stipulation of having to play for the Chinese National team as well as the Rockets, I said, on the spot, that he was not going to last.

NBA players need to have that off season to recoup and rebuild their bodies, Yao never had that time off or that chance. He was used up dry by both sides and that hurt him dearly by ending his career prematurely.

I miss Rafer's "teardrop". He would use it, and I would drop into tears. True story.

Sometimes I light a single candle, put on Sinead O'Conner's "Nothing Compares", stare at my Yao poster and swingman, and fight tears.

i definitively miss starting the season with optimism that yao could finally say healthy and lead the rockets to the WCF only to come to the harsh reality that he is injury prone. :(
