When did Love Griff or Lee carried a team into the playoffs by themselves? Look past stats, Bosh was a very good player in Toronto with no supporting cast.

Like Toronto's 9th place finish his last year there?
You mean like when he led them to the 3rd worst record in the East?
How he "led" them to a 0.500 season the year prior, good enough for the postseason?

Bosh was no better a franchise leading superstar than Gasol was in Memphis. Second fiddle masquerading as the main man. No shock at all he was so eager to sign up to be Miami's third wheel, or that he was so quick to insist that he not play C. He doesn't want the pressure or responsibility.

    White Gloves Bosh

    Absolutely absurd and frankly ignorant.

Randolph and Aldridge are not in the same league as Bosh.

Love and Griffin could ge there, but are not close to Bosh's talent level right now. (funny how you point to Toronto, but the same doesn't apply to LAC or Minny's lack of success)

David Lee and Josh Smith is just laughable even to compare. Not even close.

Gasol 5 years ago is a good comarison, not so much now.

The fact that Miami is even brought up is funny, because thats the whole reason he would even be available, because of how horribly misused he is, and what a terrible fit he is.

11 rpg and 9 fta attempts pretty much smashes the rest of your argument about rebounding and contact. I think it is safe to say you never watched him as the focal point of a team.

    Couldn't agree more

With what we would have to give up, we'll be the Bosh era Raptors

As a second or third banana, he's a good fit.

Find another superstar to go with him and maybe the Rockets can start something special

Bosh may be more attractive to DWill and Dwight because of his age rather than Dirk.

Hey throw in Morris or a future pick. Dont be stingy. Time to get serious with those offers Morey. Its not like you have much time left on the job to keep holding out on everyone anyways.

    Dragic
    Parsons
    Granger
    Bosh
    Camby

Maybe re-sign Boykins as the backup PG or bring back ish smith, Trade the 14 and 16 pick to Indiana along with a re-signed Lee for Granger sign a vet SF/PF backup and you'r set.

If we want Bosh (which is a reasonable target), we have to root for the Knicks (which is weird) and throw a boatload of assets towards Miami. Miami could could get a lot of serviceable players and have a lot more cap flexibility in a Rockets deal. Clearing off Bosh's $19 million salary could give Miami some more options. For example, if the Rockets gave them Chase as part of the Bosh deal the Heat could use his skill set and then amnesty that horrible Mike Miller contract. They could use Dalembert for a year and have money moving forward, as well. Martin gives them another expiring contract after next year and Scola could hold down the fort as a low post option. Miami's great wing defense could mitigate a lot of his defensive issues, too.

    Totally agree

I have doubt that the Heats will want Lowry, since his style isn't really fitting with Wade on court.

    Dwight, Dwight, Dwight.

Part of me hopes this all pans out just so I can say, "Okay, jopatmc, you were right, I was wrong."

The other part of me sees a guy who had surgery on his back and will play gingerly, certainly not balls-out, when he returns, then leave at the end of the 2012-13 season.

If Morey makes such a move, he'd better have a clear memory of our most recent All Stars.

bosh is the most talented power forward in the game. why anyone would question his productivity and talent-level is beyond my comprehension.

Wonder if the latest news on Bosh (abominable strain) presents a trade opportunity for him if he is out for a while. If Miami wins without him, he looks expendable. If Miami doesn't win without him, it might make them rethink their lack of depth and dependence on 3 guys.

Honestly, Bosh or Gasol...same difference. If you put a gun to my head and forced me to choose one I would take Bosh, because he is younger and you would save yourself nearly $3 million a year in salary cap space.
