People get fixated on what they need, without thinking of the big picture. Red is convinced he needs a PG, so I dangle Rubio, swap KD and Lebron, and the rest of the trade just fades away. All Red sees is the significant PG upgrade he's about to receive. Likewise for that Gasol trade. rolyat had in his mind he needed to trade Gasol for some reason, so I let him... Same for 123rockets, became convinced he needed to trade CP3, so I let him....
I have someone who slipped in mind with my pick. I was thinking about swapping Stuckey and Hibbert for Gasol and Terry, but only because Gasol is perceived as more valuable. I'm gonna go against the grain and say Hibbert is just as good as Gasol, if not a little better. Stuckey had a tremendous season pre injury and can defend the 1 and 2 at a high level. Terry would be a little redundant with Martin unless I could pawn him.
I dunno...Al Jeff's stats match up well with Gasol, but Jeff played on the Jazz while Gasol played with notorious chucker and ball hog Kobe. Gasol is the better player on both ends of the floor, and the better rebounder.
