Kobe: It's not a challenge for me to score 38 points, you know?

It's not a challenge for me to score 38 points, you know?

Los Angeles Lakers' Kobe Bryant sits out, allows Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant to win scoring title - ESPN Los Angeles

Leave it to Kobe to do something relatively mature and non-competitive in an immature and dickish manner. He could have said "Scoring titles don't matter." No, he said "We all know I can score 38 points." It's like he wants the NBA to give him the scoring title because they know he could do it. Come to think of it, that's why he gets voted first team all-defense. He doesn't actually play defense, but everyone knows he could be a great defender. Same thing, right? I'm convinced. Kobe is the scoring champ this season.

    He's telling the truth.

Obviously the truth hurts some of you.

Everyone knows that Kobe still wants that scoring champ. At least he ain't being hypocritical about it.

3rd socring title for KD, and it won't be his last.

    He's telling the truth.

It's not like he's devoid of all things offense.

Plus, the game is against Sacramento, not some good defensive team like Chicago, where he'll need to work hard for 38.

    off topic

But, I think that's what the all-defensive team is. Who are the best defenders, adjusted for role. Different players can defend at different levels depending on their role so the voters seem to, likely unintentionally, adjust for that.

And yea, Kobe can get 38 if he wants to.

He could score 38 but the difficulty will be based on what team and who is defending him.

Some people here cannot tell the difference between COULD and WOULD. Any NBA player could score 38 point in any given game. Kobe had to actually do that in the real game to prove that he can. He didn't do it, so he's not the best scorer for this season.

He only needed to score 38 against Queens to get the scoring title.
KD has finished all his games.

He didn't try and it proves he doesn't care. Some IDs here should eat the crow.

Could Kobe have scored 38 had he played tonight? Sure... but not EASILY. That's just absurd...
