They could have (and could still) draft a guard, tackle, or receiver that would start but anywhere else likely wouldn't.
Guard yes, Tackle/WR, no way. They're high on Butler and I can't see them starting any WR they take now over Walter. Blocking and solid route running are too important in Kubiak's scheme to start a rookie at WR.
I think we trade might trade up into the second round twice tomorrow (using 3rd/1 4th and a 5th rounder over all). Lots of great 2nd round talent (and we've been money with 2nd rounders lately).
Both their cb werent that good plus prince was a steal at 19 their cb for that season were around 30 of age and they were worried of wear and tear
oh well hopefully we trade up tomorrow or trade down to 3rd or 4th round who knows we might get a diamond in the rough
Kevin Walter is a non factor in the pass game. What good is solid route running if you can't get open?
Non factor? Dude has great hands and doesn't sellout on blocks. I hope the Texans draft another WR but c'mon you're selling the guy short.
What team have you been watching? He's the 4th, at best, option on the offense. 5th if you counted Dressen. He's not supposed to make his money by catching a ton of passes. The Texans aren't going to draft a WR/start a rookie because they don't need somebody to catch the ball, they need somebody to do exactly what Kevin Walter does.
