i understand that he came back and didn't play as well as we all hoped and before being sick was playing at all-star level. and sure gogi played out of his mind when he got the opportunity. i do believe that we should trade him and other players and resign gogi but i dont hate the guy. y r people getting on lowry so much
I love Lowry, I just think we should take Gogi over Lowry when we are forced to make the choice. Sadly, that time is here. I think a lot of the "hate" has to do with the losing streak. A lot of people blame it on him. I don't. I blame our lack of talent and our over achieving throughout most of the year for the recent let down.
Because we have a what have you done for me lately mentality..and dragic has done more.. loosing your job due to injury isn't rare.. happens more than u think..
I don't think anyone hates him. He is a good player, but most here want what is best for the Rockets. Last year Lowry was awesome and he had spurts this year too, but he was beaten out by a better player, pouted about it, and got benched. He has a GREAT contract from the organizations standpoint, and other teams will value his production for his relatively cheap contract. Morey has repeatedly said they are not satisfied, so Lowry is sort of the odd man out due to circumstances. And they are probably wearing of his growing attitude, starting with his conviction for tossing the ball at the lady ref/'cop in the summer league. DD
Haven't see any hate really. He just happens to be one of our more valuable trade chips and looks to be the most expendable.
What will be even funnier is when Morey lets Dragic walk so not to overpay and then everyone will be back to loving Lowry.
there's no hate... its just a fact of the matter that dragic is a better player which makes Lowry and his attractive contract expendable... come draft day... WE MOVIN ON UP! HEY EVERYBODY WE MOVIN ON UP!
People on here just assume that Charlotte is offering their #1 pick to Morey for Lowry or there is some sort of deal out there for him if Morey would just pull the trigor. I think there is a market out there for him, but those same teams would probably just rather go after Dragic in free agency and keep their assets. The trade market right now is fickle when it comes to point guards, but I think it can get done. That being said, your dealing with a whole other set of circumstances with Dragic. He's said all along that he loves Houston and wants to be back, but you just never know whose going to swoop in and significantly overpay for Goran. I love Goran, and think he is worth what the Rockets are probably going to end up spending on him, but there is always that risk of stabilizing on a player like Dragic financially when he's not the "savior" to the Rockets long term goal. I think they can work it out for the best, but if they have to let Goran walk in free agency then the Rockets still have an all-star calliber PG in Lowry. Keeping both of them isn't really the best option out there so most people just pick a side and beat down the other.
whoa there mother lover, you just casually threw in "beaten out". I don't believe that's the case. Dragic just made the best of his opportunity. I love them both and believe that the signing of dragic is crucial. If they trade lowry, he gets traded. My tears won't make him stay. hopefully he nets us something of high value. who knows MJ is still running the bobcats afterall.
i watched plenty of games this season and before lowry got sick, he played as well or better than dragic. in many games, his tenacity was exactly what the rockets needed to get the team going. how quickly some people forget... i, for one, do not. losing dragic to not overpay would hurt (i do love dragic's game and want him to stay), but it would be a marginal loss considering kyle's production for his contract. let's see if morey can get dragic to stay - i think our pg combo was the best in the league this year.
Me no like Lowry because he cries to refs and sometimes hits them lol. He does this in most of the possesions. If it was a 5-10 times a game thing then fine but its ridiculous how much he complains
