He was on a better team in college, at least in comparison to other college teams.

This is idiotic. He re-tweeted some1 that posted to him with a complimenting article. He was being polite regardless of his opinion.

just a really poor article. what the F does getting rid of Bud have to do with Morris? Our weakest position is the 4, which Morris is probably better suited to play anyway. Why wouldn't Bud be in the Rockets' plans next year? Homeboy had his best year yet. He's averaging just under 10 points a game coming off the bench, and he only makes $800,000 per year. I agree that we competely mismanaged Morris, and didn't give him a real opportunity to make an impact for us. That was clearly a mistake. But i also am concerned about the kid's attitude. This sense of entitlement is not what you want to see out of a rookie. I think the only thing for sure about this article is that DeSilva is a complete fool.

He has to beat out the guys ahead of him, that is what Parsons did.

Morris was definitely out of high school when he wrote it. He needs to man up and play D if he wants on the court.

I would put Morris in a package for an upgrade at SG/PF/C. I want to see how Parsons handle his sophomore year before anything.

Geez, the writer appears to think that Bud is chump change. Trade him for a hoagie sandwich to make room for D-League star Marcus Morris! Morris, and whoever wrote that ode to Marcus (and to be fair, this is all the author's opinion. I didn't see a quote from Morris here), need to realize that you earn your minutes. Look at Chase, in his third season, a starter last year, and a guy who at first struggled with his new role after being beat out by Parsons, but found his footing and earned McHale's trust.

Instead of being so eager to toss Budinger, the writer should have told Morris to take away his spot by earning it in practice. My guess is that that's where Marcus was going to earn minutes this season, at least when they were able to squeeze in a practice. With the lockout totally screwing up how coaches and players normally get ready for the year, and limiting the amount of practice time during the season, all crucial to rookies, except Mr. Parsons, apparently, it's been tough. Morris needs to keep working hard, have a good attitude, and wait for his chance. He needs to have an incredibly productive off-season. A pity that we've run out of games. Morris is only one thing of many to bemoan about this shortened season. He needs to take a number and stand in line, like the rest of us. At this point, we're all bummed out. :-(-

If Morris wants to retweet some high school educated clutchfans post on the internet then whatever.

Morris has to know the reason why he got beat out was defense. What does he do when he gets his first significant minutes on the court? He gives up 3 three point shots in a span of about 3 minutes on the court by not closing out shooters on the perimeter.

On offense, I got news for you. Your not F-ing Carmelo Anthony. Your Marcus Morris. Marcus Morris has to be able to play perimeter defense to get on the court. Melo doesn't. Something he's gonna have to get over if he wants to be a rotation player next season, or if he wants to go to a team like the Bobcats to be a "poor man's Carmelo Anthony."

That being said, he's way's away from being nearly as disgruntled and whiny as TWill. I like Morris' game, but you got to crawl before you can walk, and he wants to be at a full on sprint.

    FEARLESS PREDICTION:

Morris will look good in summer league. He'll play as a backup at PF next year more than at SF. He'll build up to about Ppat's level (and neither Morris nor Ppat are starter material). Clutchfans will get hopeful that 2013-2014 will be his breakout year. It won't be.

If Brooks oozed with potential, he woudln't have been projected as a 2nd rounder . . . Nobody puts a very high ceiling on 5-10 shooting guards.
