Don't worry guys, the Rockets have a team in place that will lead the NBA in moral victories.

The funny thing is that Le$ is devaluing his own franchise, as more and more empty seats will continue to show up.....

Seriously, look at the teams that tank.

    Kings
    Bobcats
    Wizards
    Raptors

All poorly run organizations! We can still get a star thru the draft this year and we didn't have to tank for it.

Yes and no....this year he did...but if we make the playoffs, even as a low seed, the fans will buy tickets. The majority of fans who buy tickets dont understand or care about the odds a lower seed faces. They go because it's cool and it's something to do. Another season or two of this and he'll be forced to "tank".

I'm not sure about the Kings and Raptors, they play pretty competitive alot of nights. If they are tanking, then they are doing a real convincing job of showing people that they aren't tanking.

The Wizards are just incompetently ran and poor leadership, poor decision making, and etc. I think they are genuinely that bad, because they have enough talented players to compete for a playoff spot, but they do not have a coach or GM who can quite put it together. Moreover, I really doubt the players care very much in Washington, except for a few odd number individuals, like Wall. He's leaving in a few seasons.

The Bobcats are the only one who really raises an eye, yet it is failing miserably.

I disagree, the Rockets have always been the step child to the Houston community way behind the Texans and the Astros...

Their fan base is not as big as the others, especially those that actually GO to the games.

Thus the empty seats....if they went to the first round, and were just a marginal team, there would still be a lot of empty seats.

And with good reason, I suspect the Rockets fans are probably the most in tune with what is going on with their franchise and are fairly unhappy with it.

Blockbuster trade? All that trade would've done was give Lakers cp3 and the cap room to get howard. What would the rockets have? A 5th seeded team with no chance at a title and no flexibility.

You know, I don't mind him saying we won't "TANK" but if he means they also will not have a "DEVELOPMENTAL" year, than he is not nearly as smart as people think.

There is nothing wrong with playing your younger players and lettting them develop, if you have any that you think might get a lot better in the future.

The Rockets have 1 or 2 in Dragic, Morris and Parsons....but that is it.

So was lamar odom, twice. Stop making excuses Donny. Even after the failed attempt, they could've still traded both of them. I said as soon as the offseason started that indy was looking for a vet at the 4 spot. They could've dumped scola for a pick of some kind. Instead, the pacers signed west for 9m per and the rockets kept scola.

West was signed prior to the trade falling through. The deal was held up in limbo for several days, remember.

Exactly, if that trade was the best deal Les-More could make, we're screwed. It is so damn obvious what we have to do, and we will eventually have to do it. It's just a matter of when, not if.

    enjoy being mediocre and irrelevant.

enjoy not having any exciting players to put fans in seats.

football season needs to hurry up and start.

The fact that you guys point to the Gasol trade as the cure shows you don't get it.

Of course not. That was a trade to get a 2A player (Gasol) to then pair with a 1A player like DWill or Howard. A Batman and Robin combo complimented by good role players.

Well 2012 is the offseason that Morey is waiting for so we'll soon find out. The time to cash in our chips and rebuild was when Yao went down final time. But I don't think the team would have been in a much better position than to day. In 2012, like Clutch mentioned, we'll first shoot for a superstar, if that fails then we trade up in the draft, and if that fails we'll "blow it up". Either way Morey is cashing in his chips.
