Those are Zetas, elite Mexican US trained special forces that were supposed to help fight the War on Drugs. Somewhere along their training they got a wiff of American capitalism and turned entrepreneurial.

In short, imagine if a hundred Navy SEALS decided to go into the drug business for themselves.

100% of latin american dictators that dealt with the U.S, like manuel noriega were trained in Georgia, not soviet union georgia, U.S georgia home of pretty strippers and fort benning. but that's a totally different subject.

. I think the most disturbing story I read from the zetas was about this reporter, female, who just wanted to protect her community by blogging about the corruption. The zetas came to her house and decapitated and left her keyboard next to her head.

    I don't do drugs.

    I don't like drugs.

With that said, all drugs should be legal.

Huge tax revenue streams. Huge budget savings with having to police it. And it would effectively change the entire culture of Mexico in one fell swoop.

I hope that this is a joke. Do you know what would happen if all drugs were legalized?

Well. Latin America/US Relations was the primary focus of my collegiate career at UT-Austin, I think I know quite a bit about US intervention in Latin America.

Arturo Guzmán Decena, Miguel Treviño Morales and 30 other hired mercenaries were part of the Grupo Aeromóvil de Fuerzas Especiales (GAFE). They trained at the Millitary School of the Americas (Fort Benning, Georgia). In fact, during the 90s many of Latin Americas elite military forces trained there.

Long story short, Gulf Cartel leader decides to hire 30 GAFE members as bodyguards. After a short time, they decide to start their own cartel. Considering the training received by special forces from the US, France and Israel, they feel they have a tactical/technological advantage over other cartels. Turf war ensues, all hell breaks loose.

You're more than welcome to research this for yourself at the Benson Library at UT-Austin. It's considered the Library of Alexandria for all things Latin America.

Not the same thing, but reminiscent to Taiban receiving flight lessons here.

I've seen that movie so many times...isn't it strange that they decided to make one of his highly moralistic decisions his ultimate downfall? If you think about it, if he didn't mind killing women and children he would've lived a lot longer. I just thought it was strange that Tony's morals is what gets him killed...weird.

Still haven't watched it, but I've seen two similar videos in the past, can't say i wasn't able to forget it....that being said, not sure i want to see it. Looking at the first half of it, i'm surprised at how calm they are, especially the heavier guy...

I disagree that it's just about measuring your toughness level. It's just something else to experience about humanity and lack thereof...

mar1juana SHOULD be legal, but ALL drugs legalized would not cause a decrease in the criminal rate, but yet a increase in criminal rate. If everyone who wanted drugs got them, people who were high and such could be capable of anything.
Ps - no need to be an *******. And if you are so smart, you wouldn't put "really" and "super-duper" side by side. You just come across as a five year old boy.

I would think drug use would be better regulated and violent crime, organized crime, etc would actually decrease. on top of that, the masses would be easier to control. Think soma and brand new world.

Ya know, I might be underestimating the government patrol of the drugs. But also, by legalizing all of these drugs, what are we telling the youth?

I think that if drugs were legal addicts would treat themselves and the world would be a better place.
