I mean i understand what happened last year to them in the first round. But honestly the Spurs look like the best team in the NBA right now (cant believe ESPN hasnt mentioned them once, or First Take or anything else)

I keep hearing OKC, Miami, and Chicago as title contenders. But the Spurs are not getting any respect. I cant believe ESPN is actually mentioning the Knicks over the Spurs

The Spurs have a healthy Ginobili, ad Parker. Duncan is playing well, and their bench is SCARY. Boris Diaw, Gary Neal, Danny Green, and Thiago Splitter WOW

not to mention a stud rookie in Kawhi Leonard. man i dont know who will beat the Spurs this year man

Im a Rockets Fan first and foremost, but i have family who live in San Antonio, and they have always been hugh Spurs Fans. But even i have to admit they look like the team to beat in the playoffs

The loss to the Grizzlies last year.

However, the Spurs are being mentioned as title contenders by everyone. They aren't talked about as much but they are always mentioned as title contenders. Especially after their destruction of LA

They are contenders but people have doubts because of:

    1) Age/injuries of their superstars and if they will be able to hold up through the playoffs.

    2) Their young players which have done very well during the regular season but it still remains to be seen if they will be as effective in the playoffs.

People waiting on first round to see how they perform.

I suppose that is taking the easy way out.

they learned from last years series. rest their stars and balance them out with good youth.

I think they will make it the WCF vs Thunder.

Because no one really gives a **** about the Spurs. THe media like young, hot teams like the Bulls and Thunder or perenial talking points like the Lakers and Heat.

    1) Depth does't matter much in the playoffs.
    2) Can Duncan/Parker/Manu play 38 effective minutes game in and game out?
    3) Superstars win in the playoffs. The Spurs have zero.

Because they don't want another boring finals match-up.

Who is their superstar? TP has been great this season, but he's not a superstar.

Would the Spurs win a playoff series against the Jazz if Parker / Gino / Duncan sat out for the entire series?

    Serious question.
