Are people seriously comparing what happened yesterday to the Harden/Chandler video? Them someone even suggest Harden should be suspended? Are you serious??????/
I ain't gonna go through and read this thread, but it is implied that some people are actually defending this action by Metta WW? Also, how does this stack up against the Love incident?
Artest (MWP) will be suspended for the remainder of the season including the playoffs. You can count on it.
I hope so, but you guys who think Ron Ron is done for the season are dead wrong. If I was a betting man, I would be "count"ing some of your money after the announcement.
He should be suspended for at least rest of playoffs and 10 games of season next year. What he did was malicious and he is a big guy. You simply cannot do that. Even if it wasn't Artest, you could say suspension for rest of season. Due to past offenses he has made (including a huge brawal) it has to be looked at as well. If they let this guy play again this season they are a joke of a league. I like artest but that was terrible.
Well the LA ESPN Radio was talking about this the entire day. The consensus there was anywhere between 5-7 games. But after getting home and watching the clip again for myself, it looks really bad. I'd say for the first 2 series of the playoffs. That is 1 regular season game plus 8-14 playoff games. We wont see him again on the court this year 'cause the Lakers will most likely not make it past the 2nd round.
since when voicing an opinion becomes wrong in itself? harden has been doing crap like this for a while now, i am not saying that doing it once deserves to be hit, but what he does is really no different from, or even more irritating than blake's flops, eventually someone will get irritated and hit em hard, just happens to be ron this time
Who cares if he has been doing crap like this. In this situation he was going to get the ball and Ron Artest was in his way. Harden receives a vicious elbow yet you have the nerve to not only think he deserves to be suspended but you think he should be suspended more games than Artest.
The only thing that 'could' be considered wrong on Hardens part was the trash talking he did in OKC. Maybe they wanted to let him know they weren't having it but if your going to go that low to prove a point then your out of your mind. Harden was a trailer on the play and was not in anyway trying to get in his way (if you see it in live time) As for the celebration how does he go from flailing his chest to a full swing? Fully intentional and there is no place for that. Rough up a guy but don't try to paralyze him.
sadly, this is very likely. artest is easily one of the strongest guys in the league, and to throw an elbow with full strength, to the back of the head is a good reason to kick someone out of the league if someone has a resume similar to artest. of course, this is the nba, and they don't give fair punishments, so im expecting no more than 5 games... also, did anybody else notice kobe's reaction when he saws harden fall to the floor? he quickly ran to the ref, trying to defent artest, knowing that he is an important piece to their future in the playoffs.
