That's considered "simple?" Well, if you say so. If you like it, that's what matters... today, at least.

Yeah...I'll sit out the debate. I don't have a boatload of knowledge about tattoos but mine still looks the same after three years. I just used Cetaphil lotion on it. It healed quickly with this. Enjoy it (the tattoo, not the lotion)!

Yep. We've got a couple of guys that have been our IT help guys for years. They are both easily 35+. Without them, we'd be in a lot of trouble. Nothing wrong with making a career out of it.

You'll see a lot of ignorant Christians saying this or that Gay is wrong. But they're no scholars of the bible; it's just convenient propaganda for haters.

The quote is from Leviticus, which has all sorts of crazy **** like don't cut your hair, eat shrimp, or if you cuss at your mom, you're to be put to death.

20:9 If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death.

20:10 If a man commits adultery with another man’s wife—with the wife of his neighbor—both the adulterer and the adulteress must be put to death.

20:13 If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death.

19:27 "You shall not round off the side-growth of your heads nor harm the edges of your beard."

11:8, which is discussing pigs, reads "You shall not eat of their flesh nor touch their carcasses; they are unclean to you."

19:28 reads, "You shall not make any cuts in your body for the dead nor make any tattoo marks on yourselves: I am the Lord."

19:19 reads, "You are to keep My statutes. You shall not breed together two kinds of your cattle; you shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor wear a garment upon you of two kinds of material mixed together."

11:10 reads, "But whatever is in the seas and in the rivers that does not have fins and scales among all the teeming life of the water, and among all the living creatures that are in the water, they are detestable things to you." And shellfish is right in that wheelhouse.

18:22 "You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination."

Bottom line though, if you're a Christian and believe in Christ, you don't go by the Old Testament. link

Christians are no longer under the Law. We do not live our Christian life by following the Old Testament Law. The Apostle Paul makes this abundantly clear. It is not something fabricated to win an argument, or made up in the twentieth century, or manufactured to get around something somebody doesn’t like. It is clearly stated in the Greek scriptures. The Apostle Paul wrote it in Galatians:

All who rely on observing the law are under a curse, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” (Galatians 3:10)

If we rely on following the Law (the Torah, the first five books of the Bible) we are under a curse. The passage above, Galatians 3:10, contains a quote from the Law itself, Deuteronomy 27:26. According to Paul’s statement below, things have changed.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law by becoming a curse for us. (Galatians 3:13)

It was Jesus’ death on the cross that rescued us from the curse of the Law. If we insist on following the Law and imposing the Law on others, we negate the cross of Christ, and repudiate Christ’s death on the cross.

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. (Galatians 5:1)

If we measure ourselves as Christians by how well we follow the Law, we have returned to our slavery to sin. We are then measuring ourselves, “justifying” ourselves, by evaluating our behavior by the Law. For us religious folks, this is precisely what is meant by “a dog returning to its own vomit” (Proverbs 26:11; II Peter 2:22). And if we put other Christians under the Law, we are subjecting them to the very yoke of slavery Paul warned them about. We force them to return to their own vomit as well.

If you insist that other people observe the Law, then you are burdening people “again by a yoke of slavery,” which makes you a slave master. When people resist your attempt to place them under the Law, they are acting in accordance with the urging of Paul, “Do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

Can't agree with you on those points you posted XeroBull. Jesus refers to the scriptures constantly and uses them to admonish the Pharisees and Sadducees. Romans 15:4 is pretty clear cut about the Old Testament scriptures as well. My personal take on it is that much like everything else when it comes to man and God, we misinterpret things (hence the reason for the gazillion different denominations), but it doesn't mean that we should ignore it.

It's all academic for me, HB. I just find that gay/tattoo naysayers are hypocrites and it's good to have ammo against them. Doesn't take much.
