Stop being intellectually lazy and asking people to find the source of things you "read".

He had ladies jewelry and the burglary tool on him. Martin claimed the stuff belonged to a friend that he refused to identify. So at the least he's a proponent of the criminal code of honor.

I'm still trying to figure out how Martin wasn't grounded since he had just arrived where his Dad was living. Martin had just been suspended for at least twice this school year. A 10 day suspension is a fairly serious suspension. No way my sons have cell phone priviledges or leave the house after getting suspended. Suppose the school district profiled him too.

    1. Link

    2. Was Martin ever convicted of theft? I assume the answer is no, yet you label him a criminal/ proponent of criminals. Hmmmm.....

I'm not saying anyone who illegally enters a home is allowed to do whatever they want. I'm saying that burglary is not a capital offense. It is legal in many states for people to use lethal force in their home if someone breaks in to use lethal force. In some states it's legal to use lethal force if someone is caught breaking into someone else's home. I understand that.

I honestly don't want to judge anyone else's morals either. I can only talk about what's important to me and how I see things.

I will say that I never want to get so caught up in a position where I'm so worried about the legal system doing their job, that somehow in my own mind I would rather just kill a human being.

I will say that a lot of the mindset that I hear people espouse in these matters is saddening to me. It has a lot to do with my religious beliefs, and the last thing I want to do is get into a separate deal.

I just know that a lot of what I see posted here, I would want to make very sure was never my personal mindset.

Material things are never worth a person's life according to what I believe. And I know that you can never know what an intruder's mindset is. That's exactly the reason why I'll never kill an intruder or anyone unless I know for sure what the mindset is, and it's life or death for someone in my family.

Everyone here is definitely more than welcome to a different position on the matter than I have.

Well there's no proof at all that he was ever caught with stolen material, so that would be inaccurate. Martin has no criminal record and that stuff from his backpack was handed over to the police. In spite of that he was never brought up by them as having been in possession of anything stolen at all.

Why are you bringing this up without waiting for more facts?

I see that you posted a link. Thanks for that. As was reported there, he was never even charged with anything let alone found guilty. Martin has no criminal record.

I'm sure someone as steadfast as you claim to be will not jump to any hasty conclusions about such rumor and suspicions without waiting for proof and facts.

The police were notified, and had access to any materials in any of the incidents in the article. Turns out not one thing in Martin's backpack was ever connected with anything stolen. Fascinating, that nothing thought by school security guards to be stolen was ever verified as stolen.

yes, that was brought up before in this thread, and according to every single fact currently available including the notification of the police, Martin was not possession of anything reported as stolen, and no charges were ever even filed let alone him being found guilty.

And that jewelry was handed over to the police and they were told of the school's suspicion. So with all the resources and reports available to the police it turns out they never had anything connected to Martin that was ever reported as stolen. Martin did not possess anything in his backpack reported as stolen, and had no charges filed against him let alone convictions.

    1. Google

    2. Pay attention....Never said he was convicted or called him a criminal. Martin was a proponent of the criminal code of conduct by his refusal to divulge information that could have resulted in stolen goods being returned to their rightful owner. His focus was reported in a manner that seemed that he was bent on circumventing justice in order to protect himself or a friend from either clearing their name or being held accountable for theft.

If you or your kids had property that was believed to be stolen, I am sure that there would be full cooperation with the authorites. Like you, the Martin's are all about justice or so that's what I heard. I'm guessing the media reported that all wrong or you would be a little upset right now.

    3. By your silence, I assume we agree that Martin's Pop ain't winning a parenting award any time soon.

    HO HO HO

You might want to refer back to post 23 in the thread, in which you described the "vile vomit" he "spewed" after the death of Ted Kennedy.

not a good day for you, mcmark....

If we are going to call the screwdriver that Martin had a "burglary tool" even though he was never actually in possession of anything reported as stolen or part of a burglary then it would only be fair to call Zimmerman's possession of a gun that killed Martin as being in possession of a murder weapon.

Or we could follow due process in both cases and say that Martin was in possession of a screw driver, and Zimmerman was in possession of a firearm.

I prefer that. Though in one case one of the two people were charged with a crime, and in the other the person was never charged with a crime.

You are such a dork. This is what I said

"If I wanted to get nasty I could have posted the vile vomit that he spewed after T. Kennedy died, but I'll be a better person than that and just say I hope he finds peace."

I wished the man peace idiot. Have you done that for the Martin family?

We don't know what punishment his father dished out. It could be there were all kinds of other privileges taken away from Martin. Any kind of jumping to conclusions about the parenting here good or bad would be jumping the gun.

And you are good with Martin not fully cooperating with the investigation? If nothing was stolen why didn't he divulge the name of his "friend". Those things could have come from some old ladies house who thinks she forgot where she put the stuff and doesn't realize they were stolen. What was this 17 year old kid doing walking around with women's jewelry?
