Nothing Bruce Bowen has done in his career has come anywhere close to what MWP did on Sunday. Combine every ticky tac and cheap shot Bowen has done and it come close to what Metta did on Sunday. Now I am not one of those that thinks he could have ended his career, but he could take him for the rest of the season with that hit. Concussions can keep people out for weeks. That was one of the worst hit I have seen on this basketball court in quite some time. Surprise, surprise that the Lakers succeed at losing their cool once again cheap shotting a superior team. After what they did last year in the playoffs and Artest history, I suspect a 10 game suspension. You cant have this crap going on, on national TV against one of your marquee teams and to a player they absolutely must have for a shot at the championship.
I believe as long as Jame Harden is out with a concussion, he should be out as long, but I believe he'll be out of commission this year.. I read the LA Times forum posts, they are against him, probaly 90% of the fans are against him.
Was listening to 610 earlier. Meltzer and Davies along with a caller mentioned that after reviewing the non-slow motion landscape replay it seemed Harden probably intended to "intrude his path to take the wind of his sails". They didn't excuse or defend the elbow though and said Artest deserves to be out for the remainder of the season and the playoffs.
So they were saying Harden deserved to get elbowed in the head because he was in Artest's way? thats what they are saying right? I guess that causes for anyone to get concussions because they bump eachother during games..
Bowen also used to intentionally stick his feet underneath players shooting jumpers so they would land awkwardly and mess up their ankles.
I don't think they said it...because they didn't say it. They just elaborated on the situation as a whole and discussed what could've provoked Artest. Like I said they didn't defend the elbow at all and it was not implied. Seems like a touchy subject here.

the nba league office is so messed up, i don't see the suspension going any more than 5/6 games sadly...

True, and I am not sure Ron was aiming for the head, but that is what got in the way of the bow.....either way Ron should do the time, out for the playoffs. DD

I don't completely blame Ronron, firstly I don't think he meant to hit him on the head like that, secondly I think Harden kind of initiated the contact with his little body check. BTW I'm a Harden and Ronron fan, so I don't think I'm biased in any way. Ron should get about 5 to 6 games, nothing more, mostly because he did hit the head. I would also give Harden a one game suspension for moving into Ronron on purpose. I do think the NBA has been pussified but there is no place in the sport to hit someone on the head, even if it is by accident.
