I believe a package deal including Parsons could definitely get us somewhere. I'm sure Rockets front office could get together and make magic with the pick(s) they get back to replace Parsons. Also, we would probably have to take back a contract(s), but thats a price that is paid sometimes. The question is, would a top 5 pick or multiple 1st rounders be worth it? What say you Clutchfans?
I get what you're saying, but generally when we trade a young player, we find that Morey made the right decision because the player... 1. The player has basically hit their ceiling Or 2. They're easily replaceable I personally don't believe Parsons is done growing or easily replaceable.
I want a player I can grow old with. Parsons is a guy I want to remain in a Rocket's uniform forever.
Yup. You just think about if the draft was redone, where would Parsons be drafted, now? Top 10, easily.
Please don't get me wrong. I like Parsons, too. I am in the middle on this. Are any of Robinson, Drummond or MKG worth it though? I think Robinson would be the only one.
Normally I try not to fall in love with Rockets players like many do on this board, and I try to look at things unbiased, but I really would be upset if they traded Chandler.
Five star thread OP double repped. People have been saying well we r stagnant. We r stagnant ATM from David stern biatcccc& anyways we got Camby -now we package our ASSETS and make a blockbuster trade! People u homers always overvalue your players then get mad when u r stagnantly winning.....ASSETSfive Starr double repped OP thank u. Snap bak to reality
Not the same at all. Parsons is a top 5-6 rookie this year easily. Which.means he's worth at least a top ten pick.
I like Parsons but he's definitely not a deal-breaker for me. I'm not even sure [flame suit on] he's a starting SF on a good team. His stats look like 14/4/2 around 32 minutes a game. I'll say it...he's become a bit overrated on this board. Put down the weapons, this is just one man and his opinion. I like the dunks, I like the D. I'd give it all up for a player who can win us games. That's not Parsons (and many of our players lack this ability anyway). Parsons is a defensive specialist who will never score enough points to be a star. If people can accept that then cool. But if they think he's untouchable, untradeable, and our best player then that's a problem. A team where Parsons is your best player is a bad team. ALSO, we overvalue Parsons because he's a Rocket. I doubt teams picking 4-8 are thinking, "I'm not trading our pick for Lowry! That's crazy. Wait a minute...they'll give us Parsons, too? Ok, sign me up."
