Yeah, I don't think that trade was dependent upon keeping Lin, they knew that Flynn was trash and they were going to get rid of him by February, so IMO, if they could see Lin was an NBA talent they find a way to keep him over Jeff Adrien who is NOT an NBA talent. I do think Morey knows HOW best to build a team, by tanking....but I am unsure about his ability or the orgs ability to recognize difference making talent. I think they churn too fast to ever build anything - but I guess that is a product of them not having that STAR piece to stop the churn. So, I suspect until we get a player they believe is a core piece, we keep churning. IMO, the core pieces would be: Parsons Dragic And maybe CLee, the rest are churnable. DD
The scarcity of anything positive tells a lot about this board. We won more games than we lost...means I was happier than sad...good year. It also means I'm a happier fan than most others around the league...good year. Would I have liked more? Yeah, but it is what it is...a basketball game. Stay positive.
Its easy to stay positive about these things but after years of the same result and no improvement something needs to happen.
Positive about ..what? There's no future.. we aren't even close to being a contender and don't have any pieces to put us in that situation. The worst part is fans like you who think we're okay or are happy with being mediocre. If being barely .500 is good for you then that just shows you how sad this team is.
