You people are idiots...the same idiots that would be all over this board wanting to fire/trade everybody after we lose games BECAUSE we were trying to tank.
Yes, let's give the team to an owner who is passionate about basketball to sabotage his team to the bottom of the standings for the next 3 years.
It is time to put the pressure on Les, and the only way to do that is hit him where it hurts, in the wallet. Until serious changes are made resulting in serious progress, I am not traveling to the games, buying his junk, or listening to his hype/spin/baloney. The Rockets are stuck and everybody knows it, we have become the pre 2010 Clippers and I am sick of it.
Alexander and Morey should just come out and apologize to the fans... Admit their mistakes instead of seeking for excuses.....
Since 1984, the Rockets have been below .500 for only 3 seasons with 19 playoff appearances and 2 NBA Titles. In their entire history, they have had 30 season of .500+ basketball Since 1979, the Clippers have been at or above .500 only 4 times with a 1-4 record in playoff series. In their entire history, they have only have only ever won 2 playoff series and have deal with living in Los Angeles with the Lakers. So no. The Rockets have not become the pre-2010 Clippers.
Barely miss the playoffs. Wait a couple months. Watch us finish last of the losers in the lottery. Hear about the Rockets working to trade up in the draft. Doesn't happen. Draft a couple of mediocre assets. Toy with our free agents and re-sign them for "a bargain" to make them more valuable. Sign a mediocre asset in free agency. Send our rookies to the d-league. Start our second rounder. Start off the season below 500. Why doesn't "rookie/recent bust" get any minutes? Watch the Rockets overachieve to get above 500. Hear about the Rockets working hard to bring in big names here and there. Trade deadline: more assets. Finish the season a few games above 500. Hear about how the Rockets are a young team that will only get better. Time for the blame game: Fire the coach! Fire the GM! Barely miss the playoffs..... Howard looks attainable and he's the quickest way out of mediocrity. All of this asset hoarding has to stop.
Well done. That about covers it. I'll say though, I'd rather have these scenarios play out than have to watch a team similar to the Bobcats.
