BINGO! Hill had all the chances in the world to excel here. He's shown zero improvement since he's been drafted.
Damn, we might've made the playoffs if we didn't trade Jordan hill. He's a freaking monster on the boards
Yeah, it's the Rocket's mediocrity agenda. Keep the old players like Scola and Martin, so that the young ones go undeveloped. Pray for the next Kobe at the 13th draft position. Send him to the D-League, while Martin and Scola suck up all the play time. Trade him to another team for another aging veteran or more draft picks. Go back to step 1 and start all over again. It's Morey's circle of life.
Exactly. It's not like he didn't do this for the Rockets once every 15 games. He had 11 and 15 against the Hawks this year... went for 12 and 12 in just 18 minutes against the Bobcats too. He's capable, but not consistent at all.
Hill put up absurdly efficient games for us before....big damn deal. The issue was he disappeared completely for the next 4. Some of you guys are consistently insistent on such inconsistent players....
Lol, why are you guys hating? Let's just be happy for hill instead of bashing on him. He played great And got to show his skills on national tv. He basically just earned his spot in the lakers rotation this game. Could be an x factor for them in the playoffs
Hill has one good game with the Lakers and people start talking about the Rockets making a mistake. He had a few games like that as a Rocket but he was inconsistent. If he does this on a regular basis for the rest of career then yes maybe it is worth questioning the Rockets. But one game? Nah
He's averaging 2/2 for the Lakers... Chill out. Guy has always been capable of big games... but even more capable of disappearing for weeks.
Yeah also people have to consider what the Rockets got back. They got back an expiring contract and a draft pick. Hill always has one of these type of games but he seems to get lazy at times.
That was a great game for Hill on national tv & I was proud of him for it, just like I was when he did it for us. However, he's so inconsistant. Had we traded him at last yeear's deadline, we'd probably made the playoff this year.
I was listening on the radio for portions of the game in the first half. John Ireland and Mychael Thompson were praising Hill's hustle and play like crazy. He won't get much PT with Gasol and Bynum there, but he needs to cherish his role as an energy for now.
I'm in total agreement with those here who are pointing out that Hill was always capable, but never consistent. It's easy to covet what you no longer have, but let's not get crazy here... it's Jordan Hill, for god's sake.
Maybe if this was the National Whenever the Heck Jordan Hill Feels Like Showing Up Association. Also keep in mind dude had some tragic person problems, may have affected his consistency.
