Playoff scenarios for Suns, Jazz & Rockets

    PHOENIX

    The Suns must win Tuesday at Utah to stay alive. Beyond that, winning again Wednesday at home against San Antonio would cinch a spot. If the Suns win at Utah and lose to the Spurs, they would need Houston to lose one of its two final games (today at Miami or at home Thursday against New Orleans) and Utah to lose again at home Thursday against Portland.

    UTAH

    If the Jazz beats the Suns at home Tuesday night, it clinches the playoff spot. If Utah loses to Phoenix, it would need to win Thursday at home against Portland and have the Suns lose at home Wednesday against San Antonio. Utah holds the tiebreaker against Houston so it would not need the Rockets to lose one of their final two games. If Utah loses both games, it can't get in.

    HOUSTON

    The Rockets has one convoluted way to get into the playoffs. Houston would need to win today at Miami and Thursday at home against New Orleans and have Utah lose its final two games, including the Phoenix one, and have Phoenix lose Wednesday at home to San Antonio.

    we need 2 draft picks WAY more than we need to be a 8 seed in the playoffs.. if we make playoffs we get 1 pick(#17) and get swept by S.A. or OKC.. i'd rather miss playoffs and get #13 and #17 picks.. that way we have more to package up in any kind of trade for better pieces..

    lol my hype level is so low. Even if Phoenix beats Utah and loses to the Spurs, I don't see Utah losing their last home game against the tanking Trailblazers. :(

    Houston will beat Miami

    Utah will lose it's final two.

    Phoenix will lose to San Antonio.

    Our hopes are up only to see Houston lose to New Orleans on Thursday

    That Hornets loss was huge for us. The losses before that sucked but were understandable.
