I will be in the 1960/249 area on/off the next few months.

Will be needing a chiro that does good adjustments and does pain therapy like ultrasound etc.

Any recommendations? Who is good and who to avoid?

    Thanks.

What would a chiropractor do with ultrasound? Seriously

Ultrasound is used in pain management.

There is also Iontopherisis. (spelling?). ( Low dose Dex -difficult to explain.)

    Cold laser?

Curious - what do the Rockets get for pain treatment?
Besides ice and massages? Topical pain relievers like Pennsaid?

Are they drug tested like other athletes?

    Correct spelling: Iontophoresis

Google it to understand. Chiros cannot inject Dex but they can use Dex by Ionto.

It works. So does ultrasound. So do Tens units - chiros have the stronger ones.

I have never done cold laser but I understand it works well too.
    Against pain and inflammation.
Hoping to find a chiro in NW Houston that employs these methods.
    Anyone?

I tried PT. Makes things worse. FWIW I have Lyme Disease and my joints are very painful. Dex/steroid injections a no-no for Lyme Disease.

BackPage.com has a "Body Rubs" section. I'm pretty sure that would do the trick.

Bonus: some practitioners on there still make house calls.

My cousins off of Veterans Memorial and Antoine. Maybe a little too far for you but he's real good. My two oldest brothers are doctors and my wife's about to become an NP. I don't consider chiropractors quacks. Back in the day some crazy ones said they could cure cancer via bone manipulation and that ruined it for everyone.
My cousin does a lot of holistic stuff like acupuncture. Some people might consider that quack but mainly closed minded people that I don't care for their opinion anyway.

If you have lyme disease, you should be on antibiotic. Go see your GP and get a lyme screen. You shouldn't be made to suffer from a curable disease. And if it's not lyme, go to a rheumatologist and get the right medicine for your joints. Let me know how it goes.

Chiros really should not be allowed to add "Dr." in front of their names. if they want to be nutritionists or acupuncturists then they should do so but cracking spinal columns is extremely dangerous.
