Patterson looked VERY promising last year post surgery, Lets give him a third year to prove himself. After all, we are comparing him to a Carl Landry who was in his third year.

I would trade Carl for Martin all over again without a bit of hesitation.

That could happen again but I am sure Martin would rather be in Minnesota with RA.

We traded Landry for Kmart to pair with Yao, which the team was hoping to come back as normal Yao after injuries. Obviously, that didn't work out :(

Martin for Landry wasn't a good trade? Gonna have to disagree with you there. I like Landry as much as the next guy, and would love to have him back, but he's not gonna put up 35 in a night. He's a good player, but yet another "tweener". This season has been disappointing for Martin, but he's gonna bounce back. I think it would be foolish for Houston to let him go without getting a significant return. Being that his stock is low right now, we should keep him, at least until he ups his trade value again.

Im one of the few who actually like Martin on here. But the point is Morey had the option to keep Scola or Landry and chose to trade the younger more athletic Landry. I just don't see how keeping Scola over Landry benifited us

You don't remember that 19 and 9 season? Lol, Scola has been the much better player. Don't get all high on Landry because he had one good game against his former team. Landry has had ONE season with over 12 ppg, while Scola has done that every year since his sophmore season. They're both one dimensional but Scola is better.

    Martin crushes landry.

Patterson without an injury will be better than landry.

This all started back in 97 when the Rockets gutted the team for CB4: Horry, Cassell, Brown, and Bryant for Charles Barkley. That trade though good at the time set this franchise way back and has not recovered since.

This thread is def not even a one star thread-anyways Martin>Landry<scola hmmm I think you would do a trade for a third year PF coming off his leg (gunshot) injury while he was excellent in the 4th he was not nearly as explosive as he once had looked. He's had a couple attitude issues himself in SAC and NOLA. Martin was a 20+ppg shooter that would have helped open/spread floor for a healthy yao and scola frontline. End of story this should also be end of thread. That trade was a STEAL! This was not webber for Mitch Richmond lmao ! SMH homers!
