New Era, New Uniforms, New Mentality, New Life! I'm not saying that doing this will magically make us into nba champions, but i personally believe that taking the team back to when greatness was created might mentally help breath some sort of new life into this ball club. Lets end this curse that began in 1996. Ever since we changed to those horrid uniforms, and then to these dracula costumes, we have had nothing but misery and failure. Francis, Yao, T-mac etc... All ended with epic failed careers. We have to stop building on top of a flawed base. I'm not trying to create another uniform thread, i'm literally saying we need to clean the air and the best way to do this in any business is to go back to the basics. Back to when we were winning. Back to when the city name was on the front of the uniforms. Take us back to the classic rockets look. Bring back Clutch City. Just maybe, it would birth some of that old Houston Rocket luck! I know Hakeem and Drexler cant come back lol. But seriously, i think it could be a good foundation to build on. Les, you gotta remember what it felt like to be a winner, and be willing to go through the fire to build it back up again. Burn this mess up, and start again !
i'm with you. I think it would great for the loyal fan base to return to the classic uniforms. Also, get rid of that bear also a creation from 1996. he can still high five kids outside of the arena. Just stick with power dancers in catholic school wear dunking on the trampoline
im down with a classic looking jersey and new logo... id say blow the team up but it is already set in motion... martin will be gone, scola will be gone, dragic is leaving, not resigning dalembert, camby is FA... basically the only ones coming back are lowry, budinger (only because he makes 800k and we have the option of retaining him), we'll prolly keep lee because he is restricted and i see martin leaving at the draft and we need depth,parsons,ppat?(trade him please), no center, morris off the bench... me personnally i try trading our pick/martin/scola to cleveland for #5 pick and some salary players(whoever).. draft Beal... sign kaman/re-sign camby(we'll never get hibbert), sign ilyasova or humphries... OR just do nothing so we can draft 14th again next year... i hear there will be talent in the back-end of the lottery...PPFfffffffFFTTTttttTTtTtTtTTtt FML
I hate the new uniforms so much, the shoulder part is too broad and unless u have huge broad shoulder it will looks terrible. I like that Classic yellow and red jersey even though I started follow rockets since Yao era. We really need to change the team uniforms, the sign is alright.

Moses Malone is not walking through that door. Hakeem Olajuwon is not walking through that door. Clyde Drexler is not walking through that door.... When Pitino said that Ray Allen and KG walked through the door. McHale should say something similar so Deron Williams and D12 can walk through that door and Mchale can walk himself out.
Next year same ugly uniforms, same mediocre run underscored by brief spurts of what looks like progress (fools gold), same feeble push for the playoffs only to fail at the finish line when the better teams pick up their game.
