The Mchale hate is unwarranted. If you think Mchale is at fault I don't know what to say. This team as assembled is doomed for mediocrity, stuck in purgatory. I was flamed for saying this a season ago and haven't posted in the GARM since but this can't go on much longer.
losing 5 games in a row, now almost 6, at this point in the season, is a coaching issue for this team. We may not be the spurs, but we sure arent the bobcats. The team, as built, should be in the playoffs already.
Yeah it is the team's fault when the idiot McHale repeatedly insists on playing Scola-PPat in the 4th quarter when we get beaten on the boards. It is the team's fault that we have no real plays and just jack up jump shot after jump shot FIRE MCHALE NOW!
Why does he insist on playing PPAT in 4th quarters when he's not scoring, getting owned on D, not rebounding, injured, missing FTs? That's a coaching issue.
I think McHale has done a pretty solid job for most of the season ..... They have already won a dozen more games than I thought they would at the begining of the season. I really thought they would struggle to reach 20W's. When you consider the injuries and a sub par roster to begin with ..... I gotta give him his due.
Then Let Camby guard the Scola's man and Patpat on Landry It's not like Scola wasn't getting torched on both sides of the floor
With the kind of posters we have here everything short of a championship will mean he's the worst coach ever. They overrate players and can't place blame on them either.
You lead for 3 qrtrs with a certain rotation/lineups...then you switch them in the 4th. And lose the qrtr and the game. Not the first time it's happened. It's a coaching issue. He's also failed to get in boykins, morris, etc for a minute or two early in games to allow others to rest up. Even 40 seconds here and there, especially combined with a timeout or halftime, go a long way.
The one thing that had been working all season for this Rockets team was McHale's idea of taking people out when they start sucking. For some reason, he completely stopped doing that when the playoffs were in sight.
