We need a two guard off the bench who can score the ball use the lottery pick for this... then trade martin patterson/scola and knicks pick and move up in the draft to get a big man maybe jared sullinger and try and sigh roy hibbert on the offseason

Selfish ball hogging volume shooter. He's got a nice knack for scoring, but he brings almost nothing else to the table and he can be streaky.

He's a fair change of pace guy off the bench, but I think his upside is a poor man's Jason Terry or OJ Mayo. Emphasis on poor man's.

We've got much bigger concerns to worry about than backup SG. Our frontcourt is a D+ at best, and we're not going anywhere without a stud 4 or 5.

Honestly, at this point if Morey sees someone he really likes (like Cousins, Rubio, Valančiūnas) we should move all the picks and Lowry if necessary to get the guy in the 5-10 range.

We can get role players all day long, Morey craps out better role players than most teams draft in the first round, we need all stars and a superstar.

Yes we will be overpaying, but we will get someone that we want and it will let us suck next year to get another lottery pick....

Look at the last three years, we are either .500 or a few games at BEST over, that was with Aldeman and McHale... it isnt the coaching, it is a talent issue.

I wouldn't mind it. I think some of you guys really underestimate how much we could have used a scorer this year, someone who can create their own shot. Rivers can do that. To be honest any player Morey drafts Im going to be happy with, his draft track record has been damn good (too early to tell about morris).

I've wanted him since he was in high school, but he won't be a backup for long. He has Allstar potential.

Pair him with someone like Perry Jones and Motie next year... I'll gladly suck for a year for them to grow together.

Assuming the Rockets cannot trade up in the draft (highly likely), the Rockets will have to draft a "risky" player who has question marks.

Does not really matter if it is a true SG or a big man, but we need to take a chance on the best available prospect there. Rivers definitely has questions about his game and how he would fit on an good NBA team, but the fact is that if he is available at near our pick, there is too much upside to not take a chance.

He's a penetrating guard who can be deadly in the pick & roll in the NBA. I like him with the Knicks pick if he's available around 16. Very well coached up, and solid in between the ears. I dont know about the 14th pick in the draft, but def. with the Rockets second pick he's a steal.

Right now, I would almost prefer Henson over most other players that are likely to be at the 10 through 17 spots. He's a project, but that length and athleticism is something the Rockets need more than anything.

We really need a two guard and a center out of this draft. We have enough young players at the 1,3 and 4 but the only real young one or two that we have is Lee. I'd be fine with any combination of Lamb/Rivers and Leonard/Zeller with our picks.

I really really like Austin Rivers and would be very satisfied if we can take him but I doubt he will drop as low as 15 or 16

The Rockets "NEED" points in the paint. That doesn't necessarily mean they needs bigs. One need they have is someone who can consistently break down defenses by getting in the paint.

Rivers is built for the NBA pick n roll. He isn't as gifted as Derrick Rose, but he has a similar game. If he falls to the Rockets, and someone better like Henson, Zeller, Barnes, or Beal is not, then Id take him in a heart beat.

on mock draft he was placed at 15. we can possibly have 13th and 16th pick, yet not sure if DM wants to take the chance at Rivers at 13 if he is still not selected

Austin has game and loads of potential, but he's at least two years away from being a rotation player on a bad team and making a significant impact. Too small and immature.

Just sign him after three years for cheap (like what will happen to T-Will after this season) and lock him up long-term like we did Lowry.

His pick-and-roll potential is like that of Eric Gordon. We don't have anyone that can create like Rivers except Dragic, which is strikingly evident during this losing streak.
