Parsons said right after the game that the last 4 games were unacceptable... should they keep thinking about those games or focus on this game today?
tonight after the game, it will be interesting to get on Clutchfans and see the reaction...either way it will be crazy...either bashing Mchale, Morey and every rocket player for being worthless, stupid, lazy, etc.... Or Jumping on the bandwagon again and saying "I alwayas believed in this team and never doubted their heart" I hope and believe they will pull out a win tonight and will get into the playoffs,,,
We will be playing 5 vs 8 without a doubt but hopefully we can go against all odds again and come out with a W
Whatever coach who said that is in idiot. You also take everything by the game. Talking about winning out and going 4-1 or 5-0 makes is much harder to accomplish. They need constant focus and effort to avoid 3rd quarter and such collapses that have occurred. To have that, you have concentrate on now, the small picture, not the big picture.
I really think blazers will beat utah tonight....Utah coming off emotional 3OT game against dallas and hoepfully will have a letdown..blazers always play good at rose garden .... OKC should beat suns..... we need to win tonight but as long as Jazz lose tonight we still have a chance even if we lose to dallas.... Orland at Utah is not a gimme..and suns could beat utah also... Go Rockets!!!
I hope he included a colored bar graph showing our projected wins vs the Suns and the Jazz. 65% of the people in this world are visual learners...just to make sure they get fired up. http://www.visualteachingalliance.com/
They are not focused, watch them come out with another lackluster effort. I hope Parsons did say that, he's one of the few who was attacking the basket early when everybody else just was afraid and took jump shots. One of the 3 players who deserve to be back next year, Camby & Dragic the other 2.
I am not sure were I stand with McHale. I don't think he has near the basketball smarts as Adelman but he does seem to be a motivator (maybe). That being said this doesn't sound like something coming out of McHale's mouth. He is not a Moreyball fan at all. He is a win one game at a time guy! This is probably from Finch or Keith Jones. Honestly I think percentages is the last thing on McHale's mind. I think he is freaking out right about now about the 4 losses. Morey said he called early in the mornig asking him what to do. I heard he said he was ready to quit after 1 loss. I think this 4 game skid has him his brain maxed out with stress. Grabbing Lowry and pulling him in the huddle was a reflection of a coch on the brink of a breakdown. He is a championship player who left it all on the court. When things went bad he played harder and meaner. That doesn't work as a coach. What he did was Bob Knight like but this ain't college and you can't touch a player in the NBA. Never. And Lowry is the last player you touch on the Rockets. It's a one time slip up and McHale can learn from his mistake but it's also an insight into McHale's psyche. He is a bit out of control at this point and that's a bad place for a coach to be. Can you imagine Adelman pulling a stunt like that.
As you said, you are not gonna watch. Why worry yourself? Let things play out and if we make the playoffs, you can hate and say we won't win then either.
Let's be real. The refs have cost us at least 2 games. The last one and the game at LAC. I no care anymore.
It it McHale saying these things and he's never beaten around the bush. It's not an act and just because he doesn't get any sleep after a loss doesn't mean he's making the guys pay for a lackluster effort. He understand the pussified world we live in, you can't have guys like Bill Fitch these days. Players will turn on a coach like that quickly but still I would like a coach to not give a damn. Adelman might have looked relaxed during games but he would hold the players accountable and not mess around. Not so sure about McHale. He seems to be the worst motivator ever if he says all these things during practice. "Guys, we have to make shots, get stops, get some rebounds okay?" - sure coach! His approach is too simplistic and it shows, our offense is predictable and down right ugly. It's like McHale expects players to automatically play the right way since basketball is simple. This makes it seem he doesn't care, like if you don't do these simple things you lose. McHale is not putting in the effort so why should the players?
