The suns will get a free game out of SAS I believe, but I don't think we will out of MIA. They will get so much slack for not playing the big 3, I just can't see it, more likely they will let Wade sit. I think we will go 3-2, but 4-1 is easily possible. The suns on the other hand could easily go 1-4 or 0-5. I have my fingers crossed bc I can't stand not seeing us being in the play offs. We are completely deserving, even with this poor stretch, if we miss by a game or 2.

If we do happen to get the 14th or 13th pick, I think I would like to get Hensen. He's not Davis, but he should be a decently polished defensive player.

you can be our gm. what you did is exact what morey did on bosh and what morey is doing to hope a star somehow loses his mind to think houston is as attractive as LA or NY. we need to face the reality.

we need to change our stretagy to bring the team back to the elite level. i completely disagreed, am disgreeing, and will disgree with what rox is doing. it doesn't make any sense to get into the playoff with this group, especially trying very hard to get a few players through signing or trading this year to solidate the roster to be a non title contender but playoff bound team. if it happened to be in the playoff w/o adding players, i am ok with it. i am totally against using picks to trade average players or little better than average the last couple years to get into the playoff but be a none factor in the post season. it is what rox front office has been doing since yao quited.

    i don't undersand at all!!!!!!!!

We wouldn't give up the pick.

This year's draft is being reevaluated in terms of star power, but is relatively deep with 2nd-tier stars and good role players. Some experts look at next year's draft as the dog's breakfast.

the odds are against us either way. The odds of landing a franchise player via free agency are very slim. The odds of landing a franchise player via trade are slim, and even slimmer if we expect to have some semblence of a decent team with the remaining pieces. The odds of landing a franchise player through the draft at #14 are also very slim.

Blowing up the team for some good draft picks, running young talent out there on the court in 2013, and rebuilding through the draft over the next couple of years is the soundest way to get a franchise player and the complimentary pieces, especially with our draft scouting prowess.

but this is not a new point of view. saying it over and over in the BBS will not make it so.

No player in the rockets range strikes me as "NBA ready" outside of Tyler Zeller, and truth be told I wouldn't mind drafting Tyler Zeller with the 14th overall pick. :)

Call me crazy, but i'd rather have a shot at Anthony Davis than an 8th seed in the playoffs

even a 0.4% at Anthony Davis is better than no chance, and stranger things have happened

If that happened, I don't think there could be a more appropriate posting of the Morey photo!

If that were to happen, it would have meant pure dumb luck, nothing to do with Morey.

Let me just ask this question. What the heck does Morey have to lose by selling off Luis and Martin below their value now? Nothing. This team is not close to contending. They are a 8th seed even in their best scenario. He has nothing to lose by starting to reconstruct this roster. He can in effect trade them away for relatively nothing plus a draft pick. He is not tearing down a championship level team. Its time for him to stop holding on to his players like this is the freaking Lord of the Rings and they are his precious.

He is too busy micro managing. Some of you are still talking about not next year coming but the year after that with his moves. Then the year after that with all this micromanaging sh11t anywayys!! Its crap. By your own plans its gonna take years. So might as well go all in now and start trading away players for Draft picks this year in a deep draft. Instead of micromanaging every year for future drafts. Go all in on one year that at least has a great draft!

You guys say it's too low a pick to care about keeping. I think our team is too mediocre to afford to give it up. Ideally we'd be relinquishing a 21th-30th pick to NJ. I say give it up next year or the year after that.

miami also are likely to have a secure position, so it's quite probable that they rest a lot, if not all their stars

I'd rather Houston make the playoffs & fulfill their obligations to NJ to give the team more flexibility next season & possibly trade up in the draft using the NY pick to get a quality rotational player with a lot of upside!!

I would like to see us trade Lowry, Morris, and a pick for example the Raptors pick. We can then use the pick to draft Bradley Beal, Harrison Barnes or Jeremy Lamb who can become future superstars or draft Andre Drummond to work with Hakeem on his game (notice how I didn't mention McFail and his work with Patterson). Then make sure to re-sign Dragic and Lee, and bring Donuts and Llull onto the team.

I believe Lowry, Morris, & NY pick would allow us to move up which I'd like to target MKG or Drummond! I'm sure Lee will be re-signed since he's restricted but don't think Dragic will cause he wants to start & with Lowry here that won't happen. Motiejunas is coming over next season, but Llull I heard won't until the 2013-14 season if he doesn't sign another extension with Real Madrid next summer.
