It's not what I say, it's what the bill says, and if you disagree you are free to show which parts of health care are now run by the govt. that weren't before.

Did you? Actually to make your point, you don't have to read the entire the thing. Just point out the parts of it that show the govt. now runs health care that they didn't run before.

It's really odd, that the part of health care that receives the highest satisfaction marks are the parts that the govt. runs now, and has run for a long time before this bill was ever introduced.

Why does government run healthcare bother so many people, if it works. Are medicare less efficient than private insurance?

If the healthcare industry could reduce healthcare cost for the majority of Americans and still provide good healthcare, do you think the government would ever want to get involved?

He isn't able to articulate why he believes HRC bill is government run healthcare. Do you really think he could articulate a solution?

Apparently vast majority of the Americans want those programs, Democrats and Republicans alike. If we actually have a single payer system, I bet people would like it just like the Medicare system.

I assume you mean Medicare/Medicaid. Do you know that these programs are in deep trouble?Currently, the federal government spends nearly 50 cents of every dollar spent on health care in the U.S. through payments it makes for Medicare and Medicaid, the unchecked spending results in rising costs that are causing inflation throughout the system, which in turn drives government spending on health care even higher. Today, Medicare spending is growing at a rate of 7.2 percent every year, which is twice as fast as the growth of the U.S. economy

My colleagues and I stop taking Medicare/Medicaid patient, the hassles that the government makes you go through is not worth it, you are not in the business and that is why you don't know our struggles.

Your faith in government run everything is beyond comprehension. You and I will never be able to have a dialogue so let's just stop.

I'm not smart enough to offer you a solution Thadeus, I'm just trying to help my patients as much as I could.

What I gathered from talking to patients and colleagues, we all want a fair and simple system that rewards excellence and efficiency. Patients know what they are paying for and will get the best bang for their buck. Practitioners are pushed to be better because of the competitions.

One example that you can see is the Lasik surgery procedure. When it first came out it was expensive, now thanks to the competitions, the prices are dropping, technologies and the surgeons' skills are greatly improved.
