They didn't play that badly tonight. One call goes our way (that Brewer 3, the weird jump ball, that Gallo clear block) and it would have been a nice win.

    Just gotta beat Dallas now.

can't beat UTA, PHX, DEN to save our lives and you expect us to beat DAL.

seeing Scola-PPat down the stretch is more likely than us beating DAL

We beat Chicago, Spurs, OKC and LA. We played pretty solidly today.

It isn't over yet. Every team goes into ruts. We picked the worst possible time to do it sure.

    But it isn't over.

Lets recap of what happened this season
    we got dally
    McHale was our coach
we traded battier for thabeet (who got more bench time then playing time)
we traded brad miller for Johnny Flynn
    No chuck hayes
    Clyde being a horrible commentator
got Marcus Morris who is getting a little playing time
Got Marcus camby during the deadline
T-Will not getting playing time so we released him
    no adelman
might be getting the 14th pick again
had Greg smith (who is nowhere to be found)

If we lose both our draft picks from our own and Dallas? Then Morey had bad planning. No matter what anyone says. He picked Mc Hale who you blame. He drafted Patterson, Morris, traded for Kevin Martin all who people blame. Daryl Morey is they guy fuggin things up. I hope we get our draft pick back at least or dallas. If not Morey just wasting our time every year slowly building up meaningless Garbage. A huge pile of garbage he wont even use the right way to get better stuff. Thats completely all on Morey.

The team just overachieved. I think that Houston has collapsed the way it has it more to do with reality than anything else. This team has role players only. No superstar, nothing close to it. And you actually need about two of those to really play at a high level in this league. And the fact Houston has zero just shows you the problem here.

I know it's a lot easier said than done, but they got to find a way to grab one. Dumb trades like Rudy Gay for Shane Battier, these are the types of trades that ruin a franchise. And Houston is seeing it first hand now.

well im not trying to be mr smartass basketball guy, because i was on the morey hype too, but i did say many years ago that morey's experience at whatever he did in them years he was with the sh!tty mid 2000s celtics could rubb off on our team. possibly the only reason why morey so good at drafting players s is because that was all they did in boston was draft players before the big three was even thought about.

UTA and DEN are over-achieving too, and look where they are now--ahead of the Rockets.

This game was winnable. No excuses. Take responsibility.

This is how I see it. Rudy Gay had a Rockets hat on. Should have stayed on his head. There is our future and current small forward. We could have snatched Mayo already when his value hit rock bottom. Following me here? Have some of the Grizzlies best players on our team. Still gotten Dragic easily because he came cheap. Following? Thats Dragic, Gay, Mayo just in the back court alone. Still gotten Lee because he came in the Ariza trade. Still had Carl Landry and Luis Scola. Still gotten Camby and Dalembert without considering any other moves that have happened since. That team is better than ours currently is.

    Dalembert/Camby
    Scola/Landry
Gay/Parsons of course because he is a 2nd round pick
    Mayo/Lee
Dragic/insert whoever you want including Lin.

Morey did not do any of that. We could have had that stupid french guy Batum thats now on the Portland roster if he kept him.

I wish I could stop being a Rockets fan, but unlike some girl I would have kicked to the curb a long time ago, I somehow find that I always have hope for next season. Why the hell do I have to be so loyal?

    :(:(

I tried to avoid watching the game tonight, but somehow I got sucked back in.

    :mad::mad::mad::(:(:(

I really do hope we give up now. No more bandaids, no more stop-gaps.

First of all, choose a point guard. Either Dragic or Lowry, but one of them has to go.

Second, choose a shooting guard, either K-Mart or Lee, one of them has to go.

Third, do we even bother developing Morris. Parsons is a good player, but is he going to be that good, or just your ultimate role player. Morris, I just have no clue. Budinger, I really don't mind him sticking around, he is a good bench player and can give us good minutes and he will know his role.

Fourth, I love Scola, let him go, trade him if you can. I love the guy, he is awesome, but he deserves to go to a better team and we also need to start thinking about our future four. Patrick, he'll be a decent role player, but that seems to be all he will ever be. I'm so frustrated with Patrick. His post game is ugly, I don't think it will ever be very good. His jump shot, is good, but not automatic. He might become a Haslem/Kurt Thomas type player at some point, but that is not what I'm looking for at the four. Plus, he is late on his rotations and he does not box out.

Fifth, get rid of Dalembert and get rid of Camby. No more of this crap of having Camby to help our young guys. I like Camby, and I absolutely love him, but it's time to go young, lets not waste his time.

This is really sad. I guess this season has hit me particular rough because of all the things that are going on around me. The Rockets are one of my only hobbies I have going for me. I don't really much time to go out and do much. For me, following the Rockets is a big part of my life. I guess this is why it kills me where we are at now. We will never be good enough to compete for a championship. Hell, it seems like we will always be fighting for the coveted 8th playoff spot. However, we will never be bad enough to get a good young player that we can nurture into our star.

I guess I'm crossing my fingers that Donuts is the real deal, otherwise we are ****ed. I can see us doing the very same thing next season. I really hope we don't. I really want us to try and develop Donuts and Morris if possible. Also, if we can bring Llull over, that would also be another win. I'd really like to keep Lee around. At this point, it is a toss up between Lowry and Dragic, I really enjoy both players and I do feel that they are solid point guards that can get an all-star nod eventually.

I do want to keep some stability in our team because we can't keep trading away all of our players and starting all over again every season. That's just not good for chemistry either.

I really wish I rooted for a winning team, one that doesn't choke, one that at least makes a few playoff runs every couple of years. I guess I'm stuck though because no matter what I'll always love the Rockets. I guess if the time ever comes that they reach their glory years again, I guess it will feel special. For now, I guess I'll just keep feeling down on this team. I hate being so emotionally invested.
