I believe that's the root cause of why we lost many close games. When the game is on line, we still depend on jumpers. The question is how we can improve in that area, it's our offence scheme or our players just lack of ability to draw the foul.
flop more like Chris Paul. seriously though. We are still a perimeter team. That is who we are. We are not going to draw too many fouls in the low post, as an end game.
Morey will get out his ruler and mathematical tools to figure it out. We will be back up to the top of free throws. Then the NBA will change the rules again and we will be back at the bottom again.
^ What he said. The refs have such a bias against us it is unreal. Denver got about 6 or 7 calls that were total non-fouls. They swung the game around in their favor and essentially gave them about 10 points they wouldn't have had otherwise.
be more aggressive....it has to become part of the team's culture though. You can't just decide one game to be an aggressive team because most refs will call you for fouls or decide to just let both teams play. Once they know you're an aggressive team, they'll let more stuff go n defense and call more in your favor on offense.
We don't have to kinds of players. A perfect example is Courtney Lee. He has great explosiveness but he never dunks. He's reserved to take jump shots off screens and never drives to the basket to create contact. What a waste of talent.
Our players are hesitant to drive to the basket with good reason. If there is ever contact it goes uncalled and the opposing team ends up with a four on five fast break with the other guy still on the floor.
Everyone needs to get a Technical foul next game and 2-3 players to get thrown out of a game and McFail to get a hefty fine from the league ALA JVG...
