He tried it once and it worked really well but only because Patterson was late to a meeting and they sat him for a half. Always wondered why they never tried it again, especially against a team like Denver last night who love to drive it in.
McHale of all people should realize how effective it is. He's faced the Rockets before. What a ****ing moron.
if mctalky had coached our 95 champions: Hey the suns are running ac green at the center. let's take out dream and insert X___________
Not only was Dalembert anchoring the D, he was the only Rocket consistently getting to the line, whereas Patterson just clanked wide open jumpers.
towards the end, he had a lane for a wide open dunk. what does he do ? brick the 5 ft J. Bullard gave him a good nick name a couple of weeks ago, the kentucky tornado. Move this dude. I'd rather see morris.
I would fire his ass DURING the press conference if I was his GM - just for stating such stupidity: "McHale says the Nuggets went small late and that is a tough matchup for Dalembert, which is why he didn't play him". He's clearly learned NOTHING from these past 4 losses. He's either stubborn, stupid or a brutal combination of both. Nothing like allowing 50+ points in the paint in a must win game...thanks to allowing ScolaPat to play matador at the 4 & 5. IDIOT!!
This SUCKS big time. How in world does McHale go down to what the other team is trying to do instead of him making the other team play to his team. Play your bigs is that not what the team has been lacking, instead the team plays small in crunch time.
George Karl is reknowned for his hard to match lineups. And he has the perfect team for it...as usual. just saying He goes 2 PGs with 2 PFs all the time with this team. They are well practiced at it. Don't think for a second Karl would not have moved Dalembert away from the rim with that lineup.
I personally find comic relief in watching these games... A classic case of laugh now , cry later....
Anyone who compains and wants the rockets to blow it up and rebuild... They're playing the high upside player they had 6th on their draft board. They're seeing how he develops in pressure situations. Even if doesn't look good now, this experience could pay off in the near future. If you're calling out for rebuilding, this is it.
He hasn't shown flashes of brilliance. He has been below average in everything. If at least he had had the occasional 30 pt or 15 rebound or 5 block game...but...never.
Once again, everyone wants to the fire the coach and doesn't realize this comes from your beloved bonehead GM. Please show both of these cats the door, blow it up, and wait 3 to 5 years to win again. I'm done with these dudes
