I hope they both pass us up. Its the best thing for the Rockets possible. Utah and Phoenix. it never works out how I want though and it consequently never gets better.

It doesn't get any easier for us. That little b**** Jason Terry, the Rocket Killer, is coming.

No way in H, only if Kyle and Kevin Matin get going. Plus McHale has to use one of the bigs Camby or Dalembert down the stretch to protect the paint. Way too many points given up in the paint.

I'm so used to this feeling for the past 15 years so i'm not going to react negatively until we finish in 9th or 10th again.

5 games to go and we just have to have a better 5 game record than PHX and UTA.

    I think it's very unlikely.

    This is disgusting.

And I do blame a great deal of it on Kevin McHale. TERRIBLE lineup decisions, sub patterns, etc...He has no feel for the game as a coach.

    As a player, different story.

It's not enough to stand on the sideline and clap the whole game. Make adjustments FOR the game.

Like, I don't know, put a guy that blocked 7 shots and clogged the middle in for a few minutes in the 3rd quarter.

    What a dick.

Why do you guys want the Rockets to be an 8th seed in the playoffs? We need to tank and rebuild then in 5 years be a relevant seed in the playoffs i.e. #1 or #2 and actually contend for a title not talk about how we MIGHT upset someone in the first round. An 8th seed is mediocrity just like the Rockets are now. We need to tank and get a superstar talent in the draft. Look at how Oklahoma City got to be a great team through the draft with top 5 draft picks... not picking 14 every year. We should boycott the games if they do not tank next season Leslie Alexander has got to rebuild and stop being such a tight a** with his wallet.

    You are a tanker.

There are many of us that appreciate a team that competes despite the seeding system.

You are one of the select few that believes the draft always brings in a savior to a team. LeBron James #2 is not in the draft.

You compete with what you have and don't lay down like Scottie Pippen under pressure.

Says Mr. May 2011. You play to win. No questions asked. These guys are getting paid millions to play a game to be professionals.

I don't see Rox making playoffs after this horrendous stretch of games, and to be honest, I'm just not feeling this team right now. This is an epic fail by the team and they have lost tie breakers to all of the teams they are fighting to make playoffs against. The four game win streak on the road was just a tease.

The seeding system? It's not about the seeding system. The fact of the matter is that we don't have the talent to achieve any success beyond an 8th seed in the playoffs and getting ousted in the first round. The draft is the only way that the Rockets will improve. From the past off seasons I hope us fans have realized that Houston is not a prized destination for big name free agents. We have to build through the draft. That means tanking for a high lottery pick and selecting a player that can possibly turn our franchise around.

It will take more than one high lottery pick to make this team a contender though. But if we select a player who becomes a superstar in a few years it will attract other superstars to come to Houston. Unlike our current situation... let's be honest who 'wants' to come play alongside Scola, Martin, Lowry, etc? Look at what Blake Griffin did for the Clippers now a bunch of superstar talents want to play alongside him & don't say it's because it's in LA...its the Clippers not the Lakers!! Look at how we won two NBA Titles in the 90s... with a number one pick on our roster who was a superstar talent. We tanked to get that pick and we need to do it again... probably for the next two seasons.

Of note: Phoenix wins tie with Utah and Houston. Utah trumps Houston.

I'd be fine with just feeling like we were competing for one. Odds are the Grizz, Heat, Thunder, Clips and Bulls won't all win a championship but it sure is fun to be a fan of any of those teams because they know they have a shot.
