Someone confirming if we have our own pick?
I thought we only had the NY pick which is going to be around 15, 16th.

Rockets own the Knicks pick no matter where it lands. The Rockets keep their own draft pick if they miss the Playoffs. They'll lose it to New Jersey if they make the Playoffs from the T-Will trade. Commence vomiting.

We need a star to contend. Last time I checked, Denver is fighting for their playoffs lives just as much as we are.

    I've been pro-tank from Day 1. Also Anti-Morey

This thread is definitely sour grapes.

But as a fan who can blame us. We win a 4 and 0 road trip against quality teams and then fall to the Suns and Nugs (twice) for no other reason than lack of common sense.

The Nugs are living in the paint and I can not for the life of me figure out how Dalembert has 7 blocks in the 1st half and does not get off the pine in the 4th at ALL.

And McHale you should have a tech after that ghost call on Brewer. Stand behind your damn team.

Apparently you left your heart in Boston. Go back.

    /end rant.

Probably better odds than of us winning a 1st round series against OKC, SA or LA (assuming Kobe is back).

It doesn't matter who we pick at 14 they still will not be a good enough player to push this team over the hump. You have to get extremely lucky to get a future superstar talent that late in the lottery. Why can't we just tank like we should have this year and last and get a draft pick that can contribute to our team? Daryl Morey has got to go. As a GM regardless of what the owner wants or thinks he has got to make this team tank next season. We need a #1 pick talent or else this cyclical trend of mediocrity will continue. YOU HAVE TO REBUILD TO ACHIEVE GREATNESS IN THE NBA. We have less talent than Washington and Charlotte and yet a better record than them. WE NEED TO TANK!

This is all on Les, Morey knows what needs to be done like any sane fan.

It won't matter. A) We'll just sit him on the bench & release him 2 years later... B) He'll become another role player & everyone will be like "superstarz potential1111!!" 3 games later he'll hit a slump & his minutes will get cut.

Please take the McHale bashing to the other 10 threads dedicated to that one.

That being said, the Rockets have some glaring flaws. Im not sure whether this teams was truely constructed by Morey to actually win, or if this was even the team he really wanted, but he has to answer to it, and build off of this season no matter what happens.

    Priorities-

-Get Dragic back & move out salary-One or more players out of Lowry, Martin, Scola needs to be moved to clear up space to re-sign Dragic as priority #1. Will be tough trade to pull off on draft day, but I think Lowry is odd man out, and easiest player to move without taking back bad salary in return.

-Aquire good low post player/s. Landry & Kamen will be available, and Utah might ship out one or more of Jefferson, Millsap. The Rockets desperately need bigs who can score in the low post. That is glaring weakness #1 for basketball reasons. They must get better points in the paint for McHale's system to work. Scola cant be your only option.

-Try to move down in the Lottery at all costs- This year has some very good players inside the top 10. This might be a good year to finally move down and get a very very good players.

-Develop the Rockets youth- Morris, Patterson, Parsons, Motiejunas all must take leaps forward in their games next year if the Rockets want to take the leap from a good team to a very good team. Right now they are a good team who has major flaws that are exposed with good coaching from the opposition.

If the Rockets develop their young guys and make a few aquisitions here and there, they can plug up those weakness and cause damage in the West. Right now, their weaknesses are in the paint, and on the defensive end. They are close to being very good if these young guys can develop like they should.

Do you constantly go against your boss at work? How long do you expect to carry a job if you do so? If I was Morey, I'd quit. Les is too meddling an owner to allow the GM to run things 100%

Ok... I thought maybe the Jersey pick is going to stay with the Brooklyn Nets ....top 14 protected.... they won't get it this year if we miss the playoffs but it is still theirs for the next years

...someone who isnt a game changer and won't entice any big names to come to town...

At least the Astros aren't lying to their fans anymore and told us straight up that they are going to tank. They have the #1 pick in this years baseball draft.

3 years in a row with the same damn result!

This is why people dont show up and why we dont have televised games!

    I'm PISSED!!!

If we keep our pick, NJ gets next year's pick, right?
