Tell me OMR when has a team traded a top 7 pick for mediocre players such as the ones you are suggesting? You make it sound so easy, but in fact no team has traded a top 7 pick for some role players like that.
If he signs somewhere else it doesn't mean he isn't being loyal. It means he got a better offer and a better situation than he does here with Lowry cutting into his playing time.
Lots of players got traded on draft day deals....Lowry + Scola would probably net you a top 5ish pick. DD
Oh, and when I say "ISH" I think that means around 5.....which to me means that is about the highest possible one....based upon team needs etc. DD
Your reading comprehension sucks. I said if we traded Scola Martin and Dragic or Lowry we would be bad enough to to garner a 6-10 pick. I never said we would trade for 1. But there was a report by David Aldridge that Portland was offering NJ's pick for Lowry. That could be BS which is why I didn't say it. My point was that we could have kept our own pick this year and got in the 6-10 range. Without Scola Martin and Lowry that is very possible and certainly we could have still picked up Dallas pick for JHill and gotten something for Scola Martin and Lowry. That's a great start to rebuilding. We may have been bad for another year but then that means more lottery picks and our young players will get better. We need a star and how you get their from here without losing is a longshot.
