OP you would know the answer to this question if you actually watched basketball instead of looking at the box score.
He didn't attract star power for NJ. And who would want big baby Dwight Howard? I'd rather watch hustlers than a big baby!
Also, where are these superstars that you pair him with? Dwight could have easily joined him in NJ already. Instead, he chose to stay where he is, even with all the coaching troubles. For those of you saying that he has a bad team, so did Lebron in Cleveland. Also, the Rockets are just getting their big man situation somewhat under control just this season. Our 6'6 center at least kept us within sniffing range of the playoffs for the past few seasons.
Why would he choose Houston over his hometown? Why would he choose Houston over new York? What star power has he attracted in NJ? Why do u think big baby Howard will follow him if de left him hanging by agreeing to one more year with Orlando?
Lol, your only supporter is someone that just said he wouldn't want Dwight Howard, because he's "baby."
One week ago people were riding Dragic's sack so hard that they wanted the Dragic-Lowry combo over D-Will.
Deron is a Superstar, he is one of the best starting point guards in the league. We want more than 1 Superstar, so we can use him to bait other superstars into a Rockets uniform. It also helps when your player has crazy determination. http://www.northjersey.com/sports/Deron_Williams_stops_the_Linsanilty.html?c=y&page=2
Dragic and Lowry are fine point guards and could definitely work a team, which is title contender. Still, neither one equates Deron Williams at full power, who is a more than capable 17-22 pts. and 8-11 ast. player. That would be asking alot of Lowry or Dragic for an entire season. Even being on fire lately (last 20 games or so), Dragic's numbers still somewhat pale in comparison to Deron Williams last 5 seasons, especially in assists. Fans on this site really need to stop hyping up our players and comparing them to NBA all-stars and future HOF players. It's not doing anyone any good, like with Patterson and Morris. Someone actually said Patterson could turn into Buck Williams type player. Probably one of the better power forward in NBA history. Morris drawing comparisons to Carmelo Anthony, Glenn Robinson, and Paul Piece .. . ridiculous.
Maybe.... but you don't put Deron before Rondo just because he is the better shooter Rondo better rebounder, better court vision..... and do it all.
