It sure would be nice if they finally made a good Wolverine movie, or at least, us him correctly in a movie. However, him fighting for a woman's hand in marriage doesn't sound too interesting

I hope Iron Man 3 isn't part of the Avengers like I heard it might be. Was
    Thanos
ever confirmed for Avengers? Another FF4 seems ridiculous. And of course Ant Man.

Wouldn't surprise me if the Avengers gang gets into a fight and splits up at the end of the first movie, then at the end of their respective new movies decides to rejoin the Avengers to fight a common enemy/theme in avengers 2.

    Disney/Marvel will make a killing.

I want to see Captain America 2; Wheredawintersoldierat?
Not really excited for another Fantastic Four (never really liked them); and is Chris Evans somehow Human Torch still too?

Like I said in another thread; I really liked First Class, but disagree with the major changes they made. I don't really know what they'd do in a second one, are jean grey / cyclops / iceman not in this universe? Also why was angel female and with wasp wings? Ugh...

They better make a Deadpool movie, and it better be rated R.

Not sure how they're making a Captain America 2 or Thor 2. Both were pretty awful. America being way worse than Thor.

No - reboot will be a full recast.

They are playing with the comic continuity liberally, but seem to be staying in bounds with the previous film trilogy. The only major discongruence was Emma Frost cameoing at the end of Wolverine. First Class took place in 1962, X-Men took place circa 2000. The three you mentioned weren't born yet (Iceman for certain). They could get away with making Havok Cyclops' father if they really wanted to.

That wasn't Angel (seen in X3). That was a different character whose first name happened to be Angel.

Dude, the abomination that was GI Joe got a sequel.

    Cap made $176M
    Thor made $181M

Maybe they weren't challengers for best comic book film ever, but they did their job.

I liked Captain America...but whatever. I liked Thor better the second time around as well.
Thanks for clearing up the Angel disparity. I really hope they don't do something as stupid as making Havok his Dad. I realize it was hypothetical, but I could see it happening.

haha, I think I intentionally pushed GI Joe out of my mind. God that was just terrible.

Looking back on it, Thor had its moments. I would probably rent the sequel.

Captain America was just dumb. I love comic book movies. CA was one of the worst I've seen.

i just watched the GI Joe movie on tv for the first time this past weekend. It was go awful.

I disagree with Thor and Captain though. I thought Thor was pretty good and CA was ok...I didn''t particularly care for the bad guys

I thought Thor was unlike any comic movie I had ever seen. They pulled it off well. One of my favs. Crazy at that sounds... not to mention, I never liked Thor as a character. Seemed cheesy. Hell the movie was ultra cheesy, but it just.... worked.

I thought they were both underwhelming and a little boring, but not terrible by any means (with Thor being the better of the 2). The hope is, with awkward origin stories out of the way and money in the bank, both franchises will be able to take a bit more risk and go into new territory with the sequels. Both characters have rich histories and some really fun arcs to play with.

Hope the Deapool movie gets made and Ryan Reynolds is able to revise the role and dump the GL franchise (or vice versa). Deadpool is the one comics/anti-hero role I feel he can pull off better than anyone. He has the unique combination of physique and the comedic acting skills for it.

Interesting that Black Widow may get a film. I had hoped that they would make a Widow and Hawkeye movie before The Avengers like the other franchises got (maybe call it "The Spider and the Hawk" or something and be SHIELD and spytech heavy). I'll have to see the Avengers before I can form an opinion about whether this will be worthwhile or not now.

Shaking off the cobwebs for a round of updates:

    Iron Man 3
    May 3, 2013
Expected bulk of IM2 good guys expected to return:
    http://www.slashfilm.com/iron-man-3-casting-call-confirms-returning-characters/
Ben Kingsley rumored to be (a) villain
    http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/he...ron-man-3-robert-downey-jr-jon-favreau-309693
    Possibly related...
Another possible "friend" joining the crew?
    Mild Spoiler
-->Keep in mind, Favreau quit the franchise citing the difficulty he had with Marvel insisting more Universe characters be shoehorned in.

    Wolverine:
    July 26 2013
Premise seems to still be his Madipoor saga, with Silver Samurai
Leaked test art for a teaser
    http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Promo-Art-Reveals-Wolverine-Rising-Soon-30065.html

    Thor 2
    Nov 2013
Looks to be much more Asgard-centric, with Loki still lurking (but not the central villain). Portman looks like she will return.
    Feige on the sequel:

Looks as if he will remain attached to SHIELD

    Amazing Spiderman 2
Earmarked for a May 2014 release

    X-Men First Class 2
    Late 2013-First Half of 2014
Juggling schedule now that Jennifer Lawrence is a lead in the Hunger Games franchise

    Nick Fury
Samuel L wants it, dead silence from Marvel Studios
    http://marquee.blogs.cnn.com/2012/04/12/avengers-stars-talk-new-film/

    Black Widow (see above)

    Hawkeye (see above)

    Avengers 2
    You know it's happening. 2015?

No recent news on Hulk TV series that I've seen. Feige seemed to torpedo the thought of a third attempt at a Hulk movie.

    Guardians of the Galaxy
    2014?
Feige seemed to chat them up plenty
    http://www.craveonline.com/film/art...vin-feige-spills-guardians-of-the-galaxy-news
-->and if you ask me, this, not Avengers 2, is the most likely landing spot for
    Thanos

Dr Strange and Inhumans swear they'll be made one day
    http://spinoff.comicbookresources.c...ans-guardians-in-marvels-post-avengers-plans/

Overall, if I'm seeing anything, it's streamlining from Marvel, not opening things up. And they've only got so much of a window to work with.

Sucks that the Hunger Games chick might cause some headaches for the next First Class movie. For whatever reason they insist Mystique be an integral character in these movies when in all reality, she's just another character in the books.

Also, wish they'd stop kicking around Ant Man already. Let it die.

Mystique was kewl in the first two X-Men movies
and she is not really a part of the original Xmen anyway

I think alot of these movies would be better Animated anyway

It's about time to let Pixar do its thing on a Marvel property. Actually Fantastic Four would probably be the best fit for Pixar, as Incredibles most closely resembled Fantastic Four.

And really, Jennifer Lawrence was fine in Hunger Games, but I thought it was terrible casting using her as Mystique. So I would not lose any sleep if she could not continue in that relatively minor role.

Thanks for the infos. I was reading up on Guardians of the Galaxy -- I'm not sure what the huge draw is to be frank. I realize they've been around for some time, but reading their background story just came off extremely convoluted to me. (especially the new team)
