The dialogues are ok the best would be Pulp fiction and everything else seems like it's trying very hard to be a QT movie/ I did not care for Death Proof much except maybe the stunt/action scenes, I hated the dialogue in that movie.. I read somewhere that Tarantino himself said that the best directors and the ones he tries to emulate are the action directors like John Woo/Kurosawa, Pekinpah, Sergio Leone.. His best directorial effort he said was Kill Bill but I thought Kill Bill 2 was the better of the two...
I forgot about those other movies haha. I only had Kill Bill 1/2 and Pulp Fiction in mind when I wrote my comments. Death Proof was that of the suxors IMO. Evans would need several more movies in order to reach Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction status.
Spoiler I'm very glad they didn't make it where the boss was some master muy thai guy. It would have partially ruined it for me.
About 15 people in the theater last night, all dudes complete bro-fest /cheering/ hollering felt like we were at an army base, this is about the third time I've seen this film, gets better with each viewing and the best action movie since Rambo IV!!!!
Damn man, seriously? I don't think the DVD is the way to go after a second viewing (if even that). Not taking anything away, but the fights did get a bit redundant. The choreographer seems to really like the "knee to the crotch/tummy" and "throw you over my shoulder" moves and repeats that over and over again. I wasn't fortunate enough to get a theater with cheering or hollering. The most we got was laughter (due to the language). I guess the experience would be different in a bro-fest environment. Just like how Borat would have been totally different had the theater not been full of constant laughter and commotion.
Yeah i thought it felt like that in a way when I watched it the first time but remember I had to drive to downtown to go see it and pretty much when the movie started I was a bit tired and not in that mood kind of sense... This time however the movie got a wider release and it played at First Colony which is about 5 mins away and felt fresher and was in a better mood than the previous times I've seen it...
It was a brofest when I went. Most were laughing at how ridiculously awesome and crazy the fight scenes were. Very very little story, all action. Pretty much a continuous fight scene from start to finish lol. Worth a movie ticket to me though I probably wouldnt watch it again. 7/10 due to its fight scenes.
I saw the movie this Saturday and loved it. The theater was pretty empty and a couple people left once they realized it was subtitled. I'm about to go see this again, and I really don't see movies twice in theater. The action sequence for floor 7 is epic. That scene alone to me was worth the price of admission.

this is one of the best movies I've ever seen, it literally had me by the balls the entire time. WHat pissed me off was the fact they only had it in theaters for such a short period of time.
