His [McGee's] demands may not be so implausible as people think, especially compared to that. McGee will get something in the neighborhood of 8.5 - 12 million. If Denver does exceptionally well in the playoffs and McGee is a big factor, that value could go up. Stromile has to be over a 10, he was more than just basketball dumb. At least Deandre is a good person.
I thought he would get $10-$11 mill, but it looks like after the performances he's had in the playoffs against elite big men he may get close to $14 mill per year, especially considering what Jordan got from the Clips. In the end, all those people that laughed at the idea of him wanting $14 mill per year are looking silly. He would look great in a Rockets' uniform, but Morey and Les might have a simultaneous heart attach if McGee's camp actually asked for what he's worth.
