..We're going to face either the Thunder or the Spurs. Either one would be a tough matchup but i'd rather face any of these two than the Lakers in the first round. Who said it's going to be easy anyway. It will be a year of upsets because it's the year of the Dragon!
i want to face OKC if thats the case. Spurs arent good matchup. They have a special team after the trade deadline
there are already like 300 other polls like this..... but just to answer your questoin...I would take the Thunder...Lakers get all the calls and Bynum and Gasol are too hard to handle...spurs just know how to win....OKC still young so you could steal a few games and possibly an upset....
we would lose the series regardless of who we play in round 1, but if i had to choose i would rather play the thunder because we match up very well against them, and have played them tough this season. last time we played them we didn't have camby guarding the rim, and the thunder dont have a post presence i am scared of.
Spurs I don't think their so called "Big Three" can keep up with our pace if we push the ball hard every night. I would really like to win a series but I'll be satisfied if we take either one of those teams to a game 7 and let them feel pain from Rockets Basketball.
To complete your thread title question..."they are going to be extremely lucky." The clunkers with the Jazz and Suns are going to sting, possibly and ultimately eliminate them from the playoff chase. If they drop two to the Nuggets, it's over. Hello lotto and the dreaded "fourteenth" pick. Absolutely stuck in neutral, going nowhere. But for now, there is still a glimmer of hope. I like our chances with the Spurs.
the one thing that intrigues me about the thunder is that they cant beat us down low...we struggle against teams with low post presence so that being said if u can shut down just EITHER (just one of them) westbrook or durant we have a chance
I don't care what we did in the regular season against OKC; there's no way we have the smallest chance against them in the playoffs. I'd rather take SA. Rivalry game, decent matchup IMO. Maybe get lucky with youth like Memphis a year ago.
Utah just lost again. Its pretty solid chance the Rockets hold on. However a collapse would look bad. It would also bring a well needed extra draft pick. I can root for both scenarios. I like winning but I realize the importance of team building.
