Actually, in order to reduce clutter on this page e-mail me through the board AS well as use the template to post your request in this thread. :) Requests go in here, discussion goes on through e-mail.

Alright Clutchfans. I want to start building a portfolio early so might as well do it now. Basically all I want you guys to do is to pretend you are a potential client that wants something done. Whether it be a logo, video logo, website design, poster, magazine, advertisement, or maybe you just want me to spice up a photograph. (No 3D modeling requests yet please.)

I'll take all (the reasonable ones) requests in this thread and just start making them during my free time. This serves a dual purpose since I'll inevitably get better and progress after each product and I can take all the good-looking ones and use them to build a portfolio. Therefore, I need your help!

Also, I'll also take some serious requests if any of guys need anything done. Please keep in mind that I'm still an amateur!

Here's the template (copy + paste):
HTML:
Type of Media: (Poster, advertisement, logo, etc.)
Is this a serious/real request?: Y/N
Links to images you want in the media: (URLs please)
Give me a short summary of the objective and target audience: (Who is going to see this? What is the purpose of this product?)
Any extra information, specifics, details?: (Maybe you want a specfic color scheme?)
This would be a real help for me. I can only get better, eventually!
Also this could help some of you guys out for those that want a real product to use. I'm not gonna ask for money, obviously. :p

Thanks in advance!

I prefer a post in this thread, however I'll take emails too if privacy is a concern.

Please note that I'm an amateur and that there is a possibility you will not be satisfied with your product.

Type of Media: Website design to sell artwork
Is this a serious/real request?: Yes
Links to images you want in the media: LINK
Give me a short summary of the objective and target audience: I basically have a travel photography blog that has gained a significant following over the past four months. I essentially used the blog to post the best of my travel photography throughout South Asia (Nepal, India, Pakistan). I've received several emails from people who follow my blog saying they'd like to purchase various photographs printed on canvas (to hang on the wall, etc). As of now, the blog isn't set up to sell anything. Essentially, I'd like a web layout conducive to selling canvassed photographs. Maybe even clicking a photograph, and then having an Amazon.com-like feature that recommends "other photos you may like."
Any extra information, specifics, details?: Also interested in creating some sort of minimalist logo for the blog name.

Let me know if you're able to help out, thanks man!

Alright, I can create the website design and provide you with concept art. That is totally within my capabilities, however I will tell you that after I give you my designs you will need to find a coder that can convert my design into code (shouldn't be hard or expensive).

Seems like your preferred style is minimalist, which is perfect for most photography-based websites. I recommend you e-mail me actually, it'll be easier to discuss on there.

Seems like you can scroll down on your blog forever.

How many pics do you have up there?

Yeah I set it on auto-scroll so people wouldn't have to click page by page.

There are a little over 300 pictures posted.

I'd also like to have the site designed in way that showcases the photographs organized by city/region/country in a clear, clean sort of way. The way it stands now, the pictures are essentially in the order of places I traveled to.

How much graphic design experience you have? I can throw some corporate work at you. Get your work on the website if its good enough.

This. I know some nonprofit groups that could definitely use a design facelift. Maybe a logo here, a button there, etc.

Self-taught for five years in Photoshop. Not a lot of experience other than that. :p

Just came in to say I wish you the best of luck with this venture. I might have some work later on...but I really like the fact that you're putting yourself out there and helping others.

RR, this may be well below your level of expertise, but I am looking to develop a logo for our pub sponsored indoor soccer team.

our benevolent sponsor is the Firkin & Phoenix. Vu is good peeps

I am looking for a simple motif that can either be stitched or printed as a jersey insignia. The limitation here is that it would have to be one color.

The two symbols I am looking to incorporate (as the name would suggest) are a Phoenix and a Firkin (old-style keg).

Aside from that I leave it to your creative interpretation...and would gladly compensate you with alcholic beverages at said sponsor for your troubles.

Let me know if:
a) you have time
b) you need any additional info
