You are a disgrace. I feel ashamed of having a fellow Rockets fan like you. Why don't you leave here and move to support a team made of choir boys? Don't let the door hit you on your way out.
You are crucified because you are a well-known idiot around here, not because you have said things negative about Scola.
Hi. Reality called. http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/multimedia/photo_gallery/1104/nba.biggest.flopper/content.3.html You weren't around.
Sorry folks, but I agree with ZBoy almost to a T. The facts: Scola can't play defense well enough to stop other players without pretending that they initiated contact with him and falling down. Scola does this more than many if not all players in the NBA. Other players do this as well and the practice is increasing. The Jazz were arguably the originators of this style of "defense." I do not understand the argument that ZBoy should start cheering for a team of "choir boys." His complaint against Scola is not that he's a tough ass. It is that he is untalented defensively, and resorts to pretending to fall down instead. It's pathetic and embarrassing to watch. Which is why the NBA is becoming more pathetic and embarrassing to watch. The NBA should employ a "dive" rule similar to hockey where if a player pretends or "sells" a foul, they are penalized (an intentional foul would suffice). If it were enforced (unlike many rules), this crap could go away and the NBA would be more watchable. As is, Scola is playing the style of basketball that we all hated (and still hate) the Jazz for. And ZBoy's right.
Well after we extract the steel rod that's currently stuck in the vag of both you and the high horse you're prancing on, you can go root for the Heat, where he's at. And for that matter, so can DD, the little sanctimonious prick who only roots for the flashy and the white.
Flopping obviously comes from Europe and soccer.... With international players coming over to the league it is a natural process. It is not going anywhere.
Man, I would love to see that, a DIVE rule, and it should be something the refs can review on video.....during a timeout..... DD
Congratulations! Not only are the Rockets players resembling more like the Jazz ones, the new fan base is looking more like the Jazz base as well!
It's funny because you "anti-homers" probably literally salivate over Blake Griffin and Chris Paul's games.
I'm disgusted by you calling a Rockets player a Jazzhole? You don't have to like the way he plays, or goes about in his personal life but if he suits up with that red & white you cheer for him because he is Rocket. Doesen't take a genius to realize that.
Posted 4/12/12... http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=6771865&postcount=94 No respect for Griffin either. Next.
Oh, poor baby has his panties in a wad, I have been a fan longer than you were half a spermatazoa in your father's pecker.... I don't like flopping in soccer, basketball or any sport, it is uncalled for and unmanly. Sort of like your posts. DD
I agree: I am a major fan against the floppers on the Rockets (Lowry this year, Scola, Battier last year) and people that suck on defense also (Scola, Martin) and i believe that we should trade Scola because of these liabilities. Championship teams don't have these glaring liabilities like that. However, comparing Scola to Sloanesque Jazz is irrelevant. Karl Malone and John Stockton cheap shotted people to hurt them: you can even see it on youtube videos and Malong took out a college center (forgot the name) with a career-ending concussion. People can compare Scola's screen to Malone's bear hug in the conference finals, but they are totally different. Malone swallowed the defender while Scola had an arm caught (btw, if you watch Grant Hill closely, you can see that he grabs EVERYTHING on defense, so its not surprising that his arm got caught). And btw, people push and shove and do "dirty" things all the time on defense, on every team and every position, especially fighting for rebounds.
