Or I guess not? Let's put scola in the middle her sure is known for his defense at the 5.

We are down last 2 game in 4th, we need some rebounds, stops, and blocks.

Why is camby and dalembert on the bench? What is the deal? Dalembert had under 10 minutes.

Scola is effective scorer but not when you run him to the ground and make him guard gortat. Geez. Knee jerk and sorry for the new thread but I thought it was starting to be about defense? that's why we got more lee and parsons and less bud and scola. With defense first, we could bring back scola and bud for scoring balance not trying to have them get stops when down.

I like mchale but this one piece of rotation really is annoying now. I didn't want to trying to derail the mchale subs thread but can a reporter or someone ask mchale why no dalembert and camby at end of game? It's a valid question.

Is this a knee-jerk reaction to the Suns game?

Aside from Marcin Gortat rolling to the basket on a Nash PnR, most of the Suns offense comes from the perimeter. 15 footers by Nash, Hill, Morris, etc.

I don't think putting in two centers, and having Nash draw them out to the perimeter where CamBert might be exposed, is a great idea.

I just don't understand the reason for Dalembert's diminished playing time.

Could be because Camby have been playing a lot better.

    Beat me to it.

Camby nearly out-rebounded the whole Suns team in the 1st half and then was a no-show in the 4th qtr. He would have stopped Gortot from getting that key offensive rebound late that helped them keep their lead!

Both Camby and Dally are pretty good at showing in the PnR and getting back inside and using their length.

One thing is for sure both guys are tons better than Scola or anybody else we got defensively agaisnt the PnR. Now, Patterson may be getting there and personally I think Patterson is the guy to have closing the games when we need a 2-way player because of his ability to defend and also shoot the J because Scola cannot defend and because Dally is so bone-headed. However he is not spectacular. But, any of the 3 bigs are far superior to Scola defending against the PnR.

Last 2 games I understand because the Rockets were trailing double-digits, so they need more points than anything else. I still think they got to finish the games with a true center, not a flopping and easy to drop center.

I would like to see the Camby + Dalembert twin towers starting lineup a bit more sometimes. I think it would be neat to go small at the 1-2 and big at the 4-5. Best of both worlds.

    Lowry
    Dragic
    Parsons
    Camby
    Dalembert

Go for defensive stops and get Lowry/Dragic/Parsons to push the pace for transition buckets.

No tanking whatsoever. In the suns game, we couldn't hit ****. Obviously Camby and Dalembert aren"t gonna give us offense. Yes we didn't have a real big man on defense, and this is detrimental. but in this case I think Mchale's mindset was that we had to sacrifice defense for offense. I think it was the best option at that point.

Could be a tactic to keep his value low to resign him for cheap.

Because we've been down by double digits in the forth two games in a row. They need all the scoring they can get.

Yeah..put 2 non defensive players in so the other team can keep scoring. Scola is not effective without a true center out on the floor with him and neither is Patterson.

I think McHale has a secret disdain for centers and thinks he should have been starting over Robert Parish.

    to the OP.

Can't come back without scoring points. You can have all the defense in the world on the hardwood. If you can't score points to mount the comeback, then having all that defense is useless.
