    London.

It's really expensive and the food is generally crap.

Branson is horrible, and I only know this from driving through at a fairly odd hour (Sunday or Monday mid-morning) on the way to somewhere else, and looking around to see what it was. 1) so crowded you could barely move, even at such an odd hour. 2) looked like the cheesiest shows and entertainment imaginable, probably only appreciated by people who Have Not Gotten Out Much, and expensive too.

Also from driving through - Gatlinburg, TN is a huge tourist trap, though not as awful as Branson. Still, for a lot of people in the area it is seen as the ultimate vacation destination. I have never known why.

No interest in Vegas either - my husband likes it so will probably get dragged there sooner or later - guess it's interesting to see it, but I don't enjoy gambling and everything else (shows, food, etc.) is probably great but has gotten soooo expensive.

I prefer to just visit other random cities/towns in the U.S. and see their local stuff, as well as national parks and monuments, etc. You can find a lot of unexpected neat things and your vacation money goes further.

    Australia.

Don't get my wrong, I'd definitely check it out if given the opportunity, but it's no where near the top of my list.

Going to exact opposite side of the world (from the US) just to visit another developed, English-speaking country? No thanks.

I don't care for any place that you just go to sit on a beach, so I have no interest in a lot of Florida and a lot of islands.

Yeah I feel exactly the same. Would go but not going to anytime soon. Many other places first. It's like johnson once said

'worth seeing? yes. but not worth going to see'

besides I think aussie/kiwi guys have some kind of chip on their shoulder and feel the need to overcompensate constantly...

nicole kidman was hot, and sydney hmm.. I hear adelaide to cairns is amazing. oh well.

You're basically not interested in seeing half of the world?

    That explains your world view.

I think going to some place your not interested in like Vegas because someone else likes it can be a good thing. I wasn't really interested in it, the first time I went as an adult. But I was won over. I actually like gambling, but the cheap over the top sites I'd heard about was a huge turn off. Then what got me were the awesome restaurants and food I ate. It was fun. I did enjoy gambling like I knew I would, the hotel rooms were cheap, and there is one of the coolest used book stores you could imagine there that has first edition F. Scott Fitzgerald, Hemmingway, and stuff like that. I ended up having a good time. I've been back a few times since. It's not top on my destination list by any means, but for a cheap close get away, it's alright.

If I'd been picking the destination or hadn't had to go there for work, I'd never have gone at all. But I'm glad I did.

If I got free tickets and room paid for, I'd check out Miami too, and hope I'd be pleasantly surprised. But I'll never plan to make a trip there.

I live in London now and I went over to NY last week, and the tickets on Broadway are ripoffs! Almost everything else (price-wise) was about the same as the UK, but Broadway tickets were hellishly expensive (like up to $140 types). For theatre, you'd probably be better off seeing the local theatre or hopping over to London to see one in the West End.

London is.............not that bad! But unless you are interested in British history (hey you guys are Americans right? ) or culture (museums are generally free) then London is pretty dreary.
