ha! that is lebron's fault? Thats his team not playing to his level. As noted before, he is having another historic season and his team would not be no where near the contending status without him GOAT to ever lace em up, stop making the same mistake they did with MJ in just not wanting to give it to him bc it would be boring and always goto him, he deserves it year in yaear our, probably a safe DPOY pick this year too. Respect

Difference is that KD is winning games. Whoever ends up with the best record will win the MVP.

Durant is not even the best player on his team, he is just all marketing BS trying to play the fake nice guy
If this award is not Lebron's(should've been last year but more marketing/overhype by Rose) then the MVP is a joke award

LeBron and Durant are quite even in almost all statistical categories except Assists. In that LeBron almost doubles Durant.

But I think they are mostly likely going to give it to Durant just to spread it around. LeBron is kind of like Jordan in his prime. If they are going to give the award by objective standards, he's going to get it every year. But they just want to spread it around a little to make it interesting.

For me, I'd vote for Jeremy Lin!

mvp generally has more to do with being the best player on the best (or very near best) team than it does being seen as the best player or having overwhelming stats.

It's most valuable player and wins are where the value is reaped.

Both OKC and Miami have been fading lately, making the MVP choice even more difficult. When there is no clear winner the better player should get it -- so my vote goes to Lebron.

LBJ is going to win it, unless he goes into another 5 game slump.

Heat were hyped to destroy the league with 70 win season (for 82 games season), and they've got 4th best record so far. LeBron can average 30/10/10 and he doesn't deserve MVP. They simply didn't play as well as they should, not even close. He's just a stat padder without leadership.

Yea that Detroit game when he was with cleveland, buzzer beater against orlando, even his entire playoffs stats before a finals which they stopped runnign plays for him. The guy is the best and unlike MJ and Kobe, he is an actual leader Both those guys are noted as jerks to their teammates, ball hogs usually, and me first players. MJ is marketable, kobe is just not likeable and no one wants him as the leader of their team. LBJ is not only a good, fun, teammate, he passes and gets everyone involved. Durant does one thing, Westbrook does more for the team. Without a good PG and Center, the heat are sitll elite, those are two important positions, says somethign about King Jame's leadership. They don't call him King for nothing, kid.

Man we sure hear this a lot with Lebron...

At the start of the year it's "His team is going to win it all this year."
then as the year draws to a close "He needs more help! He can't do it all!"

Lol. Tell me you did not just imply that Lebron is a better leader than MJ?

Sorry bro but if you think 'leadership' is being super friendly to your teammates then you just have it wrong. Plenty of leaders in sports were/are jerks. Whether they are coaches or players. Leaders don't let players slack off and drag down the team. Leaders get in their face and tell them to shape up.

Kobe is so much more of a leader IMO, just look at Lamar Odom. Look at that dude without Kobe.

As for Jordan really.....we really should not be comparing Lebron James to Jordan when it comes to leadership.

Because they do suck, just look at how they have been playing. Dwade is slumping and Bosh is not the same one that was in Toronto.

Yea it's awful, Battier, Mike Miller, and James Jones aren't hitting shots, and Bosh isn't even relative, this team is ALL Wade and Lebron and as good as they are, that probably won't be enough, Jordan, Kobe, Magic, would have all struggled the same or worse in the same situation and that's the way you have to look at it.

Awards and championships should not be won in free agency.

Two of three best player in the world and another top 15. And yet, your team is not first, that means you don't deserve MVP award.

And don't start with Jordan help's please. Pippen was never top 10 player(and he was an idiot), Rodman was all star only twice. Jordan had no post player in his career and he didn't leave to join with other stars but he made his teammates better. So please, do not ever make that comparison.
