My parents took my younger brother and I to Vegas when I was 16. I don't drink regularly and I've never, ever gambled, so there's just no reaction to this place at all. Also, after that season of Real World and those Hangover movies, the strip just seems repellent. Ironically enough I think gambling should be legal everywhere.

I visited for Lamar for Orientation, but that night I realized I'd left my alarm clock at home. I didn't want my Dad ripping my throat out the next morning for not being ready when he came to get me, so I got on the Beaumont bus system and went to Walgreen's to get an alarm clock. Bought a clock, got back on the bus and summarily got lost. Got off and spent the next 3 or 4 hours walking around at night in the summer; even walked by either a Spindletop statue or possibly the actual original site, until I finally found the campus. My Dad told me when he picked me up the next day that I got into U of H, so suffice it to say I didn't go back.

Germany/Austria/Switzerland/Netherlands... a lot of those Western Germanic countries, essentially. Nothing against their cultures, as they are all certainly very historical and rich, it's just I've never really been intrigued or interested by them.

I will second your Miami, also pretty much anywhere in the Northeast US except NY, just don't seem like I would like it there. Would love to be proven wrong though.

Are these places that are popular, you've been once, and decided it's not all that. Or are these places that are popular but you don't want to go because of some preconceived notion of how it might be? Because I'm having a hard time thinking of a popular place that I wouldn't at least want to check out. Now, there are definite places I've heard people go to that I would not want to check out but I'm not sure if they're quite popular. Some people go hiking along the mountains of Pakistan and get kidnapped and stuff. Or go climbing on Mt. Everest. I don't want to do either of that.
But the more popular touristy destinations I'd love to check out at least once - pyramids, Maui, Tokyo at night, etc.

Dubai. I don't find man made crap in the middle of the desert(other than the pyramids) all that appealing.

agree. Just because you paid the bouncer to cut warren sapp in line doesn't mean you are cool.

just because you blew a months pay on bottle service doesn't mean you are cool. You are not VIP. You are not a high roller because you took a hummer limo to eat at a strip club.

It's glorified hotel lobby and bad carpet. Everytime I go there I ask myself why. Sure I've had a good laugh there.. there can be some readily available skanking sometimes.. but I don't know.. it's just not all that. just seems really played out and poser the whole time. Gambling is only fun when you are winning and I've had a few streaks but again.. it's just not that great.

The only saving grace is they seem to pipe in decent music at times .. song from 80s or 90s I somehow havent heard in a while.

no desire to go to bejing. Seems really oppressive cold, bad food, overcast. I am just completely not interested. Also Seoul..no thanks either. Havent been and maybe I am missing out. Also probably not a popular destination but I can't imagine lagos nigeria to be any good either. I can only imagine the sh!tshow that place must be.

London, Miami, Boston, Seattle, most night clubs and high-class restaurants (pretty much any place with a dress to impress code).

I'll take dive bars, Taquerias, gas stand BBQ or crawfish on newspaper anyday over dress to impress places.

I hate LA but the SoCal weather, beaches and the variety of international food is great. Never been to Vegas because i dont gamble but I hear there's plenty to do there outside of gambling.
